Vehicle Detail
This TR-6 is in the middle of a multi-year restoration that I have lost energy and time to complete. The vehicle is mechanically sound but aesthetically challenged: significant work has been done to make it roadworthy, but it still needs the interior completed and could use fresh paint. I drive the vehicle to work and around town occassionally, but never seem to make time to complete the restoration. I have invested much more in the vehicle than the reserve price - my loss is your gain. The good news:Engine has been professionally rebuilt. (Foreign Auto Specialists in Long Beach.)New dual Weber DGV carburetors. (I still have the original ZS carburetors - the auction winner is welcome to them.)New electronic ignition.New windshield.New tires.New alternator.Other replaced items include: clutch, clutch master and slave cylinder, throwout bearing, tie rod ends, ball joints, front shocks, rear differential mounts, motor mounts, transmission mounts, u-joints on the driveshaft, heater control valve, front bushing kit. The bad news:Carpet kit (black) is not installed but will be provided to the auction winner. (Interior picture of the car shows the bare floor due to carpet removal.)Dashboard support bracket needs to have the vinyl replaced. As of this morning, the turn signals were not blinking and the heater fan was not blowing.Needs new paint. Picture 13 shows the floor pan on the drivers side - there are four small rust holes present; dimes are placed by the holes to show relative size. These holes appear to have been cleaned up (before I purchased the vehicle) and primed, note that the passenger side floor pan has no holes in it. We live in the desert, so rust is not currently an issue for the vehicle. We have college expenses in the future for our child and I need to put more money in the bank - so my wife says the Triumph needs to go!
