1990 Volvo 240 - M47 5-speed transmission, Gorgeous $3500 recently upholstered leather interior (Seats, Door panels, carpet), running well, with A/C, but unfortunately mother nature decided to rain hail on her. We are in the business of finding true collectible vehicles and offering them for sale here on eBay. Aside from some cars in my personal collection that we have sold on eBay, every now and again we come across something that we believe you may appreciate. We have sold quite a number of vehicles on eBay, all with positive feedback. (Credentials can be supplied on request and we invite you to view our feedback. Last vehicle was sold to the Netherlands to a very happy buyer.) Description: This car runs and drives well, has a solid drivetrain, a SUPER clean recently redone leather interior (see picture of reciept) with an exterior that has moderate hail damage on the roof, trunk and hood. Mother nature decided she wanted to make this car more aerodynamic, like a golf ball, I suppose! For specifics please read on: Drivetrain: Engine and transmission are in nice operational shape. Engine starts up without trouble and runs and idles well. Has the more rare m47 5-speed transmission. Nice clutch, excellent suspension, cold A/C, and overall a joy to drive. The audio on the video below is pretty bad. Body: Pictures say it all, really. This car was absolutely gorgeous before the hail incident. A lot of money was put into the interior for all leather fittings, maintenance and A/C. Unfortunately, it now has hail damage. When dusty, it is almost invisible from several when one gets closer, it is evident that this car has been pelted with hail. Not entirely terrible, but obvious nonetheless. Interior: Near flawless. High grade real leather was used, and a superb job was done at that. $3500 is not an amount someone spends on a vehicle that isn't worth it. If this car didn't have hail damage, it would be a fine, FINE example of the most reliable cars on the road. Nonetheless, one of you guys might have a cure for the hail, or may not mind what's on the outsie, so long as the interior is clean and cold with A/C. Electronics & Electrics: Everything seems to work and seems healthy and functional. Title: Good blue title. We purchased this car from a specialty wholesale auction that benefits charity and the like. We are licensed dealers in Texas who deal in special one of a kind classics and similar vehicles. If you wish to keep the car in Texas, you must pay taxes and title fees for us to transfer the title into your name. If you live outside of Texas or want the car to be registered outside of Texas, then we can make arrangements and to the best of my knowledge, there will be no fees or taxes until you register and title the vehicle in your home state. Deposit and payment: Deposit of $500 is due immediately after auction end to our PayPal account. Ebay does not have an option for this, so their payment section says 24 hours. Deposit is due immediately after the auction ends, unless you have made other arrangements with me. There seems to be some concern about the word "recent" in the sentence "recently reupholstered leather interior". A word like "recent" can mean different timeframes to different people. To me, the definition of "recent" is dependent on what it refers to. The upholstery was done in 2003, but for such high quality, better than OEM leather, this is not much time. This leather is meant to last several decades with good care. I only wanted to clear up some ambiguity about the statement, since some bidders had questions about the upholstery date. 2003 is NOT recent for say, a dozen eggs, but for high quality leather upholstery, 9 years is not too long. Also, please consider... $3500 in 2003 dollars is equivalent to a much higher amount in 2012 dollars. There was no real expense spared on this interior. Cheers and best wishes.
