I have owned this car since 2001 and it just does not fit in with my retirement plans. I have had many emails and let me say, although I would like to sell this car, I am NOT in a hurry nor am I desperate. I have been asked what I would do to make the car perfect, here's a list (and will cost under $10,000): a) remove engine and respray engine compartment b) replace exhaust with OEM repro system c) repair and repaint chips, scratches If I don't sell it now, I will wait until the market recovers further and sell it at market price. Experts have said the muscle car market has bottomed and has begun to recover, although it will be a slow recovery. There were just over 3000 of these ONE YEAR only cars, how many survive today? How many are plum crazy ? How many wear their ORIGINAL sheet metal, original upholstery, carpet, headliner It is a strong #2 car and has been garage kept. This means the car has been driven and is NOT cosmetically perfect. There is NO rust of any kind on this car but there are some VERY MINOR scratches/chips. It IS a trophy winner. THIS CAR WAS JUDGED BY STEVE MAGNANTE FROM SPEED CHANNEL AT PYRAMID SHRINERS CAR CLUB, ORANGE CT IN 2007. AT THAT TIME HE INDICATED THIS CAR WOULD BRING $65-$75k BUT WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE THEN. HOWEVER, IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS THE MUSCLE CAR MARKET HAS STARTED TO RECOVER, I INVITE YOU TO TRY AND FIND ONE AN RT/SE ON HEMMINGS OR AUTO TRADER OR ANY INTERNET SITE IN THIS CONDITION FOR UNDER $35,000. BASED ON NADA CLASSIC CAR VALUES AS OF 8/12, THIS CAR, IN IT'S PRESENT CONDITION PRICES BETWEEN $40,000 -- $45,000 SO THE STARTING PRICE HAS BEEN ADJUSTED TO GIVE ME A FAIR STARTING POINT AND THE BUYER A TERRIFIC VALUE AT THIS NUMBER. THIS CAR COULD BE BROUGHT BACK TO A #1 SHOWCAR WITH MINIMAL EXPENSE AND EFFORT AND WOULD BE WORTH NORTH OF $62,000 ACCORDING TO NADA. This car was born Plum Crazy purple and wears that color today and has been resprayed prior to me purchasing it. Has R/T side stripe. All sheet metal is original with 1/2 quarters replaced. New fuel tank, sending unit, rear springs, shocks front end parts/bushings. Tires have 3000 miles on them. Car has power windows (yes they work), A/T, A/C, P/S, P/B (DRUMS), music master AM radio, overhead console, tinted glass and variable wipers. It rides as quiet and tight (keep in mind the vintage) in the 1970's Upgraded to Chrysler electronic ignition and Edelbrock Carb, will include original carb and distributor. Transmission, rear end numbers matching. Block appears to be original does have original mopar water pump (with pentastar) on it but I can not guarantee it although the electrical shop states it is number matching All electrical harnesses have been replaced, all gauges, lights work. Brake system recently rebuilt and will need master cylinder to complete which I am including. Interior is excellent with black leather up front, perfect dashpad, perfect headliner and vinyl in back. Original carpet in very good condition. I do have a COPY of the build sheet which does not scan well but will be included as will the owner's manual.
