Vehicle Detail
1964 Porsche 356 SC Super coupe Barn Find Car was part of an estate, and has not been registered or driven since 1971 to the best of my knowledge. Very solid, original car maintaining its original interior, Glass, carpet, chrome wheels, etc. Seems to be mostly original paint except for the front fenders and trunk lid, where light bodywork is present. Car shows 94,358 original miles. Unmolested original dash, all gauges present, nice original horn button and steering wheel. Nice original blaupunkt radio, with original booklet in glove compartment. The front seats (mostly drivers) show some wear, the rears and the interior is quite nice, but could use a good cleaning. Headliner is near perfect. There is no key for the car. There are also no headlight assemblies, and one taillight lens is missing. The Engine was disassembled many years ago. I went through the engine parts, and found the crankshaft to be missing. Also missing are the pushrods, cylinders, and exhaust. There are a few bolts included, but some small engine bolts are bound to be missing. All major engine components besides the crankshaft are present and include: 4 connecting rods and pistons, cam and gear, generator and pulley, oil filter canister, heads and rockers, valve covers, 3 piece engine case (case sides match numbers see pictures), Original carbs, manifolds, and air cleaners, engine cylinder tin, fan shroud (includes carb linkage), most all carb linkage, flywheel, generator stand, oil filler piece, voltage regulator. The car maintains its 4 wheel disk brakes, though it looks like the rear calipers are removed, and in with the parts lot. The original matching spare chrome wheel is present. 4 Logo-less hubcaps in very good condition are included. There is no rust in battery tray, spare tire well, or floorboards that I can find, I can’t imagine a better undercarriage. Car rolls freely, all tires hold air. Please see pictures for body condition, I think they tell it best. This car only saw action its first several years of life, and has sat, in a pole barn in Northern Wisconsin well preserved, ever since. Buyers are encouraged to come and take a look at the car. Car is located in Sullivan, 25 miles west of Milwaukee, and 10 mines off interstate 94. I reserve the right to end auction early, as car is for sale locally. *$1000 Non-refundable paypal deposit required upon purchase. Balance due in cashiers check or sellers preference 1 week from date of auction end. I will help load car but not responsible for shipping, or setting up shipping of any kind. Most parts should fit inside car, and will be packed carefully so interior does not get damaged. I have done my best to describe this car accurately and honestly, but I am not in any way a Porsche specialist. There may be small things missing that were overlooked. Please see pictures and description what is present in the pictures is what you get. Please call Mike 414.322.1002 for more info.
