Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE ---- NO RESERVE ---- NO RESERVE ---- NO RESERVE 1929 All Steel Body Henry Ford Model A Roadster 170+ Additional photos can be found at http://s759.photobucket.com/albums/xx236/1955cameo/Real29Ford/ The photos taken on ashphalt are when I purchased the roadster 4 ½ years ago. The photos on the grass were taken on my front lawn last week. You will immediately see the craftsmanship that went into the custom front end, hood, pillars, windshield, rear end, tail lights, etc…. This vehicle is TITLED IN ILLINOIS AS A 1929 Ford 2 Door…clear title in hand. Professionally Built in California in 2004 for a 30 Year Member of Sacramento California’s Capitol Auto Club “Thunder Bolts” (capitolautoclub.com). I am the second owner having purchased this beautiful roadster 4 ½ years ago from a collector car dealer from which I have purchased three cars from over the past 10+ years. This vehicle has never been driven by anyone under 50 years of age !! This vehicle has always been serviced by a professional mechanic. The color is PPG Dreamsicle and the paint is phenomenal. The custom steel fabrication is beautiful and boasts a genuine 1941 front grill mated to a hand fabricated steel hood. You will not see another roadster like this anywhere unless you commission it !!! Powered by a Ford 289 cubic inch engine with matching Edelbrock Performer series camshaft, Performer series intake manifold, and Performer series carburetor she runs flawlessly and is built for reliable cruising. With the C4 automatic transmission she handles nicely at highway speed. I frequently take the roadster on Interstate 90 out to Rockford, IL from my home. The sound through the Sanderson stainless steel headers mated to a 2.5” Flowmaster exhaust is throaty and somewhat reserved. The tires have deep tread and are wrapped around oversize Halibrand style aluminum wheels. Front tires are BF Goodrich Control Plus P185/65 R15 with a date code of Jan/07. Rear tires are BF Goodrich TA P275/60 R15 with a date code of Sep/07. The rear license plates retrace electrically for a cleaner look at car shows and there is a kill switch to thwart unauthorized drivers. The only item not functioning on the car is the speedometer/odometer which was never connected due to space limitations. The cream colored upholstery would benefit from being redyed. During my ownership some of the chrome (see photos) has become pitted in the usual spots. I have described my roadster honestly and to the best of my ability based on 20 years of owning and driving classic cars. I am a collector/owner and not a dealer. I have 100% faith in the drivability of this car and to my knowledge everything is in excellent working order per my written description above. Free and clear Illinois title is in my possession. I have recently been driving and enjoying the car without concern but she is a 1929 with a rebuilt 60’s drivetrain and routine service and repairs should be expected due to her age and originality. If you are not comfortable with a sight-unseen purchase, please come see the car for yourself or have an independent inspection performed PRIOR to bidding. I would appreciate the winning bidder contacting me immediately upon end of auction just so the lines of communication are opened. A $1000.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending through PayPal just so we are both protected. Full payment is required within 7 calandar days of the end of the auction via wire transfer, verifiable cashier check, or cash. I'm an easy going person so if you need to make special financial arrangements just let me know BEFORE you bid and I'll try to help. Some banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles of this vintage. Make sure if you are financing that your financial institution accepts the year and value of this vehicle before bidding. Please have your method of payment arranged prior to auction ending. TRANSPORT - SHIPPING I am happy to be an active and hands-on part of this process from start to finish but the buyer is ultimately responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle and any pre-purchase inspections need to be done BEFORE auction ending. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly assist in loading and be present for the transport condition form and other reasonable help. Dependable Auto Shippers (D.A.S.) and Passport are transporters that eBay recommends and my experiences with them were just fine. My location zip code is 60184. Shipping to Australia, Europe and other Countries has also become affordable and easy to arrange. If you are outside of the United States or Canada, you MUST contact me BEFORE bidding. I am glad to store the vehicle for up to 30 days as long as the winning bidder pays according to the terms above. If you are an eBay member with negative history or have a (0) or low transaction score, I need to hear from you just to verify your sincerity and accept your bids as genuine. We all started from (0) and I'm happy to give a leg up. I reserve the right to cancel bids for these reasons. Communication is all I ask. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the vehicle is no longer available or otherwise SOLD.
