This is a sweet Beetle named Spunky Monkey. Two years ago, (two months after I bought it) this car won First Prize in it's class (Semi - Custom Type 1) at the South Florida Volkswagen Club Show n Shine! I purchased the car from a gentleman in Indiana who rebuilt it for his son. He purchased the car from the original owner - a 78 year old man. The car has been taken completely apart, painted, rebuilt and updated by the previous owner. Seats are not original! The "Monkey" runs like a top and it's a looker! Every time you take it out - you'll get honks, smiles, and lots of thumbs up. The car is garaged in Cincinnati, Ohio and I am in Florida for work reasons. Hence - letting the car go is bittersweet! This car needs to be loved but driven by someone who has the time and inclination to keep it sharp - and used. This car could easily be enjoyed as a daily driver!!! Pretty much everything on this car has been updated new paint, sport alloy wheels with adapters, new bumpers, moldings, rubbers, door linings, roof liner, seats (not original VW) tail lights, dual exhaust, rear air-shocks, running boards, etc., but this beauty is 38 years old and not perfect. Being sold as is - so if you have questions - see the car in person before bidding. Known issues: There are some things left to complete. The air vents on the dash are disconnected and need hoses but the heat works like a charm from the floor vents. The sunroof needs a new drain hose on the driver's side. Mileage is not accurate and is estimated. I purchased the vehicle with the odometer no longer turning miles. Former owner estimated mileage since car re-build to be 8,000 miles. Since 1974 - car easily has over 100,000 one owner original miles before rebuild. Left turn signal doesn't self cancel - needs new cancel pin.
