This is a 1985 1/2 Porsche 944, which makes it a unique and rarer model because if it were an American car it would be titled a 1986. Only 6,167 of these model years were imported. The 1/2s recieved the newer dash, increased oil sump capacity and cast alloy control arms. I am the third owner. I have owned it since May of this year. I recently aquired a Boxter and now need someone to care for the 944. The previous owner purchased it in 2010 from the original owner who kept it in storage for twenty years, consequently for that reason it has not suffered from any of the suns damaging UV rays. The dash and spoiler are in absolute incredible condition for a car of this age. The motor is a 2.5 liter 150 HP naturally aspirated 4 cylinder. The previous owner replaced the rod and main bearings, the water pump, timing belts and had the head resurfaced, had the valves ground and seated along with replacing the plugs and injectors. He also cleaned and flushed the gas tank and lines. Installed a new fuel pump and the list continues... New brakes, rotors and brake lines. The clutch was in like new but the hydralics were replaced new. I just had the oil changed with synthetic after only 1500 miles of the previous owners work to insure the durability of the work. I also replaced the air conditioner compressor and will have it recharged as soon as the garage will do it. Included is the leather sunroof cover, the bra and the original Blaupunkt radio. This radio played exceptionally, however the casette player would kick the casettes out. The transmision is a 5 speed manual. It has the classic "Phone Dial Wheels" with 4 brand new Kuhmo Platinum tires There are minor tiny chips on the paint surface untracable on camera. A touch up about 3 inches in length and 3/4 inch wide over the drivers side marker light. It is barely visible, see the photo.
