Up for auction is a rare 1966 Ford Econoline Pickup truck. I had this truck up for auction about 3 weeks ago but the winning bidder backed out of the deal at the end because the title was from Texas and not in my name. I recently went to the DMV and had the truck put in my name. The title is clean and now registered in NY under my name. VIN # E10TH641424 The truck runs (some hesitation on acceleration & may need a tune up), shifts great, brakes feel perfect and the steering is tight. I have just installed a new water pump, oil sending switch, vacuum advance, hoses, fuel filter and rebuilt the carburetor. There are no coolant or oil leaks. The truck does need a new exhaust system, the gas gauge isnt working and the directional switch is broken. The door windows roll up and down nicely and there are no cracks in the windsheild, just a couple chips. As for the body, the major areas of rust is the driver side door and the roof. There are a couple of rust holes on the roof and the roof seam is rusted but repairable. There is also other body work areas on the truck completed by the previous owner but was not done professionally. The floor has a few small holes but overall is very solid. The frame has only some light surface rust in spots and is very solid. The bed is very solid and has a sprayed in liner. With a little work this truck can be put on the road as is or is a great canidiate for a complete restoration. The buyer will be responsable for shipping arrangements, however I will assist in any way possible. Meaning I would be home to assist in driving the vehicle on a truck, etc...
