PROS-Overhauled engine in the winter of 2010-11 (about 20 months ago). Installed new crank kit, rings, bearings, gaskets, seals. Installed new torque converter. Replaced the transmission with a low-miles used one. Replaced the tie-rod ends, ball joints, brake pads/shoes. Installed a 90's model "hidden receiver" (1/2" x 2") with 2 tongues. Installed trailer wiring kit per factory standards. Tires have less than 10K miles since new. (Les Schwab) Engine and tranny have been treated with ER (Energy Release Additive) since break-in. All other parts are from local O'Reillys, w/ proof from the store upon sale. Body and chassis are straight, with only a couple minor parking lot dings. There is no rust, and the paint is starting to loose the clear coat in places. This nice little car gets 33-34 MPG every day. It is a daily driver and will have some additional miles since the picture was taken, (less than 500). We are selling to upgrade to a newer diesel I bought her. It still has the original 2-DIN AM/FM/Cassette/clock, and speakers that work just like new. Carpets are not worn or damaged, and there are factory mats still in place. CONS-A local Mechanic shop says it has a collapsing lifter, but it has not effected the running in the last months of use. A set of hydraulic lifters is going to cost $160 to somebody plus about $100 bucks to install. But, ... still runs great without it. The drivers mirror has a mounting issue. I would recommend replacement. Inside adjusted mirrors work well, but the driver's side has mounting issues. I would recommend replacement if you can find one. OTHER- Car is being sold as-is, from our home. No deliveries, No trades (unless it is for a much newer VW diesel), No "special deals".
