Up for auction is my mercedes 190 diesel. Its a good commuter car and gets good milage, my city/hwy has been around 33mpg but on a couple long trips it was right on 40mpg. It has the non turbo 2.5 liter engine, these engines are known to blow the head gasket in front of cylinder#1 mixing the oil into the coolant. This motor has already recieved a new headgasket along with injector rings, complete valve job, valve seals, idler pully, glow plugs, valve seats and was shaved by .005in. Most machine shops would not touch an aluminum mercedes head but there is a shop in greenville sc who just does heads and they do great work, they are who did the valve job, seats and shaving on this head. It runs great and I havnt ever had a problem with the engine, it actually ran fine before I did the work but I like any engine I own to be in perfect running order. When I purchased the car the odometer, speedo, and clock didnt work. All are in working order now, I did this along with the engine work and since the miles were unknown I set the milage to zero to help with maintenance. I use only rotella oil in the engine. The car also recieved a new heater core during all this as well though the air conditioning does not work. There is als rust in front of the rear drivers side wheel well. Just before I got a new car I was driving this car over 400 miles a week with no problems, it can be trusted for any trip, the transmision shift tight and doesnt slip. currently its under 16k miles since I did all the engine work. There are less than 5k miles on new tires and it drives strait. Sunroof, and two front power windows work well, the two rear windows need new regulators to be functional. The power locks work but only by using the trunk key hole. For the fun stuff, the cars deposit needs to be made within 24 hours of auction close and full payment made within 7 days.
