Here is a completely restored Rust Free 1982 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 Turbo Convertible In 1981-82 about 700 of these was built by Legend, this one belonged to the Late Jim Fierst well know pioneer in the FIAT community & also developer of the WHOA it got brakes, & yes its got brakes he has done most of the restoration & mods on this car was built with an Allison aftermarket turbo manifold and Garrett T3 Turbo charger with 48/42 trim and adjustable waste gate set at 7psi boost. Engine was totally overhauled in 2005 for the turbo installation with no expense spared. Possibly 8,000 miles since then. The Engine has had the rotating mass balanced with ported cylinder head with IAP stainless steel valves installed. Lightened and balanced flywheel. Stock electronic ignition unit. Rising pressure fuel regulator with dampened fuel pressure gauge..wheels are Maserati BiTurbo 6x14 wheels X 5 (one on spare) and tires are Yokahoma AVS EV700's. 185/60x14 front and 195/60x14 rear.Suspension and brakes IAP RED springs with Yellow KONI sport shocks and WHOA brakes on front with stock disc brakes on rear axle.. Nardi signature series steering wheel. Dash and console caps and new carpet front and in trunk at time of restoration. Instruments include 140 MPH speedo with the odometer calibrated to match actual vehicle miles. Air/Fuel meter and Boost gauge. Included is a Dyna plastics hard top for winter operations I have over $14,000.00 in receipts for parts and labor since 1999 for every part imaginable & paint & supplies, etc. A lot of questions about reliability and rust. NO rust or rot. Just a very minor scrape by the front wheel well with the smallest amount of surface rust. Vinyl top is in good condition but a nice fabric top would really do the trick. Differential is a 3:50 gear ratio unit out of a spider with an automatic for better utilization of the turbo charger and works wonderfully in excess of 120mph! It runs down the road very smooth and at a lower rpm than the 4:13 geared Spiders. The motor is strong and fresh. Exhaust was installed new in 2005 with a catalytic converter and magnaflow muffler. The whole car has only 112500 miles.No attention needed there for a long time. It sounds good, looks good,& runs great A very safe reliable Italian Sports car by pininfarina. The Car has few minor scratches, shown in pictures, but looks very presentable. The Color is Grigio Fumo Metalic with black Interior..The car is Sold as is.
