Forr Sale My personal 1966 ford , I've owned this truck for 4 years and it has served as my daily driver , trash hauler , parts chaser anything you can think of I've really used and enjoyed it but after a recent cosmetic restoration I hate to go back to using it and nicking it up so I though I would try it one time if it dosen't sell I'll go back to driving it History; The truck had what I would guess was a back yard frame off restoration in the mid 90's before I bought it you could tell someone put a lot of time and thought into it adding overdrive, disc brakes , relocating the gas tank and putting a fill door in the bedside and tons of other little touches when I bought it I thought hey I don't have to do anything but drive it but you know we never leave well enough alone.I ddin't like the cammed up 302 and one day I bought a great running 91 ford with a perfect 302 efi engine soooo I had that installed in the 66 using the original 91 harness and fuel lines I retained the really nice shorty headers it runs great other than a slight surge occasionally when idling with the a/c on but I've learned to live with it I have put around 25000 miles since the conversion I go everywhere in this truck without fear. when I bought the truck it had 410 rear gears which even withthe overdrive were still as little steep for my constant highway driving so I installed a set of 3:0's . After several years of regular use I decided to have the paint updated it was blocked primed and rerpainted using ppg products in gm sunset orange. Both the front and back glass were removed new door weatherstripping was installed .While i was at it I had the seat recovered in ultraleather , recovered the dash and door panels , the headliner is in good shape and the carpet is probably 15 years old but still inpretty good shape considering .The bed has a hoole cut in the very rear that is covered up by a piece of vinyl siding I a mguessing they had planned on installing the fuel filler there and changed their mind but hye bedliner covers it the rest of the bed is suprisingly nice I had never looked at it until we removed the liner for paint . I also spent quite a bit of time polishing all of the stainless it isn't perfect but looks good. The wheels are weld 10 in rear 8 in front with excellent tires. Like I said before the truck has efi, overdrive, disc brakes, powersteerrring , ice cold a/c . I installed a southern air heat and a/c unit and the a/c sucked so I reinstalled the hang down unit that was in it when I bought it and it blows ice ice cold . I am still using the southern a/c heat . overal it's a great truck the paint isn't perfect but it is very very nice it is super dependable my wife drove it on a 100 mile rtrip the other day and came back bragging about it but it is still an old truck it's got a little bit of windnoise and a few rattles basically it's a 66 model. The speedometer cable broke the other day but i've been using a gps and it need new ducts for the vents on the heater . Please call me if you have any questions 870-692-0249
