Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Up for sale is my 1989 Porsche 911 Silver Anniversary Edition Cabriolet with just over 30,000 miles on the clock. I just bought a 1995 993, so I am looking for a new home for this modern classic. PLEASE GIVE THE LISTING A SECOND TO LOAD THE PICTURES. The pictures are being hosted by SmugMug and sometimes takes seconds to load. I bought this car in July of 2007 from a woman in Westchester, New York. At the time, the car had about 17,500 miles on it. The week after I brought her home I proceeded to put in over $3,000 bringing her up to snuff under the skillful wrench of Cheech at Rennwerke in Westchester, New York. In the five years I’ve owned the car, I’ve put thousands of dollars (receipts included) total in maintenance and have driven her regularly over this period. The car has always been garage kept when not in use and has not seen many parking lots in its day, attested to by the fact that the mostly original silver metallic exterior is in great condition There appears to be a few areas that have been refinished and blended at a professional level, namely the right rear quarter panel and the hood. I can’t find any signs that the car has been hit and it tracks straight (Cheech at Rennwerk inspected the body and gave it his blessing). I’ve avoided salty winter roads, but I have driven her in the rain. She is not a garage queen which could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are. She is however in amazing driver quality condition. Last August, I drove the car from Manhattan to Montreal, with luggage and passenger in tow for a four day trip. The car performed flawlessly over the 1200 some-odd miles in 90 degree heat. Try that in your Ferrari! This 911 feels stable at speed, corners flat and does not wiggle when it hits road imperfections, as far as my semi-calibrated rear-end can tell. I also don’t hear anything coming from the front end over bumps. Repairs and maintenance includes: *Brand new German canvas top and headliner, installed at a cost of $1900 *New fuel pump *Rebuilt brake calipers *Regular fluid changes Included Accessories *Factory wind deflector (almost $400 and worth every penny, cuts down noise and buffeting in the cockpit substantially) *Factory tool kit and air compressor *Factory full tonneau cover (the kind that covers the whole cockpit when the top is down) *Momo Nuvelari steering wheel (retro look with gold turtle crest horn button) *Original Porsche Steering Wheel *Full set of high quality Coco Mats in #53 Black and Grey purchased from cocomats.com. *Full set of factory Porsche mats Records *Service receipts *Gas receipts indicating mileage tank was filled *Books and manuals *Partially stamped service book *Factory window sticker Things to note: *Air conditioning blows warm (not worth fixing, even from the factory it was not sufficient for an average summer day in New Jersey) * Radio fuse blown (a simple fix, remove the radio and replace the fuse on the back of it) * Interior maplight bulb out, again I imagine it is a simple fix *Missing the little practice piece for mirror adjustment on the drivers door, also power mirror function on driver’s side works intermittently *Missing the factory tonneau cover for the top (the one that just covers the top and mechanism when the top is down, I may have this at my parents’ house, will look for it) * Oil level gauge jumpy (typical problem, don’t mess with it, not worth the money) * One chip in the chin spoiler and right rear bumper guard (no big deal, again leave them alone, they’re hardly noticeable). Legal Mumbo Jumbo: This is an as is, where is sale with no express or implied warranties. This is a 23 year old automobile and although it is in good condition it is by no means perfect. I have attempted to describe know defects in the car but this list is not exhaustive. I recommend you personally inspect the vehicle or arrange for a 3rd party inspection if you are interested in purchasing the car. I am not a Porsche expert and I make no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy or correctness of the representations contained in this listing or the vehicle, its fitness for a specific purpose and/or use or its value, collectibility etc. I have not inspected this vehicle other than in the normal course of ownership and operation. For avoidance of doubt, this means I start it up and drive it and listen for any weird noises etc. By placing a bid and/or purchasing this vehicle, you agree to resolve any and all disputes arising from the bid or purchase of the vehicle through mediation in the State of New Jersey. Notice of the dispute and the factual basis of same shall be provided in writing within 30 days of taking possession of the vehicle to the name and address of the owner of the vehicle, as indicated on the title of the vehicle.
