1984 AMC Eagle Sport, 6 cly, 5 speed, gauge package, 176k miles. The Good: It runs and drives good, the 4X4 works great, It has new transfer case seals, new front half shafts, new shocks, new cat back exhaust, rust free body, doors open and shut well, and good studded tires. About a 1000mi ago I took it on an 800mi trip and got 26mpg for the trip. Bad: Small exhaust leak at the manifold, the struts on the lift gate need to be replaced, the front seats need to be re-upholstered (factory fabric included in the sale), needs passenger side sun visor, the factory tachometer does not work (has a working aftermarket tach), the emergency brake system functions well but the ratchet on the foot pedal is worn and does not hold, you can feel some wear in the steering gear and shift lever(it still steers and shifts fine), small spots of the head liner are bubbling (see pictures) some of the weather stripping has lost it flexibility, the paint is worn thin on the hood and lift gate, no hub caps, air conditioning is all there but does not cool because low on Freon. It is still an R12 system. I used it in winter so never charged it. The car has been in Idaho and Eastern Oregon all its life so no salt on the roads and a dry climate, the previous owner told me that the engine had been rebuilt at around 130k but I have no proof other than it runs solid. I have used it as a winter car but am replacing my pickup and Eagle with an SUV. The Eagle Sport with a five speed is a rare car and this one can be driven as is or easily restored. It is a 28 year old car with over 175K miles so there is no warrantee. The buyer arranges shipping. I am happy to help load the car.
