This one owner 1996 4runner is in fair shape. It is a unique Salsa Red 4Runner. I ordered it from the factory and it has gray bumpers and black fenders. It is a part time 4WD with locking rear differential. It has not had any engine problems nor has it had any body work. Currently the engine runs, blows cold air from the AC and the 4WD works well. It has had the engine light on for some time but it doesn't appear to be anything major. I had it checked out once before and it was the O2 sensor. I never fixed it because it went out again. The engine does idle rough but it clears up when you rev the motor. For the past 6 years, the transmission has had a clunk when it shifts gears. It still works but probably needs to be replaced. Overall, the car looks good inside and out. It has the original paint, alloy wheels and fair tires. All the controls and electronics work except the auto antenna. The dash doesn't have cracks, the seats are in good shape with the exception of the driver's seat which needs replacement. The console cover has a split and the steering wheel cover is beyond repair. It comes with an extra set of "husky" floor mats and the orignal mats don't have much wear. It has a retractable cargo cover for the rear compartment. It has been in two minor mishaps. The driver side door was damaged by a post in a parking lot. Also, the rear bumper was pushed in by a minor bump from another car. Most of the body and interior are in good shape. Frankly, this car would take some work to get it in excellent shape. It would need some body work, transmission, minor interior work, a tune up and scheduled maintenance like the timing belt. I believe the engine is in good shape as well has the four wheel drive components. You can see from the pictures that it has a lot of positive aspects and would make a great off road 4Runner. It just keeps on running. This car in avaliable for pick up only in Baton Rouge LA.
