Vehicle Detail

1967 Pontiac Firebird 326 auto factory air car. It currently has what I believe to be a '70 pontiac 350 two barrel motor with a turbo 350 transmission, with power steering and power disk brakes. The majority of the factory air is still intact, however the compressor and brackets are missing, aswell as the AC hoses have been cut. The car was in storage for about 15 years, it is in pretty good shape and runs and drives well. I have had to do some things like brake hoses, belts, and radiator hoses. There were some minor engine leaks so we went ahead and pulled the front apart and put new gaskets to seal it up and it hasn't leaked since. While we had it apart we went ahead and put a new timing chain and gears, aswell as a new water pump. It has a set of brand new torque thrust wheels and new tires, aswell as a new dual exhaust, and new shocks. We tried to go ahead and replace anything that could possibly be unsafe from sitting as long as it did to ensure it runs, and drives great without any problems. The car is very solid, the floors look original and are in very nice shape, as are the rear frame rails and trunk floor. The body looks pretty straight and clean, it is rust free and the vinyl top is very good shape. The interior looks mostly mostly original and is in good shape. I think the headliner and carpet have been changed as they look to good to be 45 yrs old. Even most of the chrome and stainless is nice the back bumper does have some chrome peeling off the bottom of both sides, but the top still looks good. Ive been driving it for about a year now, shaking out the bugs so pretty much everything works and feels good, it runs and drives great and sounds goodl It does have an exhaust leak, i think it is at the donut its been about the same since i got it, it hasn't gotten any worse. I had planned to put a set of headers on it but i just have been busy and its been hard to get things done for me lately, plus some people prefer stock exhaust anyway so who ever buys the car has the option based on there personal preference.
