Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1952 Studebaker Champion 2 door coupe fpr parts or as a restoration project. The car has been sitting in a barn and still has the tag on it from when it was last on the road in 1971. All the original parts are still with the car including the hub caps except for the outside driver side mirror. All the glass on the car is good and the windows still roll up and down as they should. The drivers and passenger doors are in great shape and still open and close well. There is some rust damage to the front top passenger fender near the headlight socket. And the rocker panel on the passenger side has some rust damage. Both of the rear fender skirts lower bottoms have some rust damage as can be seen in the pictures. I took off one of the skirt plates on the drivers side rear fender so you could see the damage. There are some small dings here and there on the car's body. The car still has the original flat head six cylinder in it along with the 3 speed on the column transmission. The engine is missing the head, But the heads and parts for these engines can still be found for a reasonable price. I was going to resto-mod the car using a sb350 but have to many irons in the fire to do the restoration. The car's radiator is also missing. All the interior has the original parts and upholstery as can be seen in the pictures. This studebaker could be restored or used as a parts car for someone who is restoring a Studebaker. Here in Alabama any vehicle made before 1976 only needs a bill of sale to register it. But if you live in a state that requires a title. I will give a notarized affidavit from the state of Alabama stating that the car only needs a bill of sale to register here. The Studebaker is being sold "as is", and is not a running vehicle. Pictures are worth a thousand words so I have taken a lot of pictures of the car so there won't be any surprises. But if you need more pictures let me know. I was aked abut some exterior trim and interior trim parts. All the interior trim is in the car including the dome light and it's cover and the ash trays are there. I did double check the car's grill and found a horizontal crack near the center in the V section of the grill about 6" long a easy fix. All the stainless drip trim on the outside of the car is present and in great shape. Shipping will be at the buyers expense, and there is no rush on moving the car so if you need a month or so before you can pick it up that would be fine. I could also possibly deliver the car depending on buyers location. Payment, there will be a $500.00 deposit due within 3 days via Paypal after the auction has ended. The remainder of the payment is due 7 days after auction has ended unless other arrangements have been made with me. if you have any questions or need more pictures feel free to email me I have been emailed by a few folks asking if they can buy some parts instead of the whole car. For what i have the car listed for, you can win the auction and get the parts you want off the car and scrap the left over and still come out ahead. This car was made when they still made cars out of good ole U.S. steel. On Aug-08-12 at 06:44:19 PDT, seller added the following information: All the rear window trim is there, dirty but there. I left the rear left fender gravel guard off after taking the pictures. It is inside the car on the floor baord.
