Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1950 Studebaker Champion Regal Deluxe Coupe that has had a frame off restoration I am the second owner. The original owner was a friend of mine and between 2005 & 2007 he did a frame off restoration. He passed away in 2009 and I purchased it from his widow and son. Last year the car received a best of show at the Springfield Route 66 Show and Festival. It also received the "Presidents Pick" at the local community college annual show. A good paint job has been applied to the car. There is a little orange peel in a couple of places, but it is very nice. The windows are all original and in good condition. The body was removed and the undercarriage was cleaned and painted as were all the wheel wells in body color. This can be seen in the pictures. The front and rear bumbers, headlight trim, taillight trim and trunk handle have all been rechromed and look great. The bullet looks to be original and in very nice condition. All the stainless has been polished and looks great. The interior and welting is all new and done to a high standard. The steering wheel has been restored and all the bright work and paint on the dash is very nice. The carpets have been replaced as has the headliner. All the guages and lights as well as the directionals work. The radio is sporatic and works most of the time. The engine and trunk have been very nicely detailed and there are 5 new 6.40 x 15 Firestone Champion deluxe tires on the original rims which were refinished even down to the original pinstripping. The engine has been rebuilt as well as the brake system, carburetor, radiator charging system. Even the rear springs have been rebuilt and recovered. This car has a hill holder and it works perfectly. The only thing needing attention is that recently the overdrive quit working. The car drives down the road straight. It catches thumbs up everywhere I drive it and it is a real nice car. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call John at 417-881-7900, 417-839-6922. I reserve the right to end the auction early. On Jul-31-12 at 10:26:27 PDT, seller added the following information: There is also a new stainless steel exhause system on the car.
