I am, with regret, offering for sale, my 1978 280Z, the last of the original Z series and I intend to sell it this summer. I am the original owner and purchased it locally on May 17, 1978. It is always garaged and never out in bad weather. The 2.8 liter straight six engine with fuel injection is original and clean. With its 5 speed transmission, it rides and corners like a dream. It has only 57,500 miles, never raced, modified or abused! The "old gold" original paint color (517) is rare and beautiful. there are only a few minor defects. It is virtually all stock (I have kept it that way) with cold air and original carpets. Both seats look superb and the interior is protected by a car cover, a dash/steering wheel cover and Z mats. "Old Goldie" has received many awards including 1st Place at the 2006 International Z Car Show in Dallas, with 254 points and is eligible for the Gold Medallion Award with some additional effort. Age & health issues dictate that I sell it. Included are the original wheels and covers, as well as a new set of wheels and tires with approximately 500 miles. Also the owners manual and warranty book, a rear louver and some miscellaneous items. Payment would be through Pay Pal unless other arrangements are made. A vehicle report may not be available for vehicles prior to 1981. I welcome your request for a local inspection report.
