Vehicle Detail

THIS IS A BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED CLASSIC MUSTANG PRICED TO SELL!! COMPLETE FRAME ON RESTORATION LESS THAN 1000 MILES AGO * NUMBERS MATCHING CAR * RESTORED TO ORIGINAL SPECS The restoration on this classic was a complete, frame on job that was completed in September 2004. Since then less than 1000 miles have been put on the Mustang. This is a numbers matching car with its original 200 Sprint 6 cylinder and a completely rebuilt 3-speed manual transmission. The engine compartment and undercarriage are extremely clean . The engine does not smoke or burn oil, and there are no issues with leaks. The Mustang has newly turned brake drums, new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders, and a new master cylinder. The Mustang runs, drives, and handles great. The odometer shows 5700 miles. Following is a partial list of the work done.: · New radiator · All new hoses and belts · New exhaust manifold · New wires · New plugs · New distributor cap · New rotor · New condenser · New spark plugs · New fuel pump · New thermostat · New water pump · New heater core · New battery · Front and rear seatbelts · Professionally rebuilt carb (2012) The information from the VIN plate is as follows: 76A ~ Convertible M ~ Wimbledon White 26 ~ Black Vinyl 27A ~ Production Date January 27, 1965 23 ~ Philadelphia 3 ~ 3.20:1 Axle 1 ~ 3-Speed Manual Transmission EXTERIOR/INTERIOR It is very clear when you see the car that since the restoration, extra special care has been taken to keep this classic looking great. The body was completely redone in the restoration, The lines and panels all fit excellent. All the chrome on the outside of the car has been completely redone. The Mustang has original wire hubcaps from 1965 and 5 new tires with less than 1000 miles on them. The wheel wells are clean and rust free. The convertible top looks excellent. The interior was completely redone with new carpet, new seat coverings, new door panels, and Mustang floor mats. All instruments in the dash are fully functional. The previous owner added an aftermarket Mustang AM/FM cassette player with speakers in the kick panels. VEHICLE CONDITION Overall the paint looks great and shines beautifully. There are few very minor blems in the paint that are not noticeable unless you know where to look for them. The body and frame are solid. There is no bondo on the body. . The passenger side floor pan was replaced. All body work was completed professionally. The interior is excellent and very clean, the vinyl seats are extremely comfortable and both the front and back seats are in excellent shape. The top is in good condition with no rips or tears.. The top does needs a little push at first when lowering the top but once it is partially down, goes smoothly. No problem putting the top up electrically. The zipper tab on the rear vinyl window is broken but has not been a problem as I never unzip the window. The original trunk lining is still in the trunk along with the convertible top boot, spare tire that matches the four on the car. Call 815-742-4198 for info or more detail On Jul-27-12 at 05:45:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Bidders are welcome to come and inspect or drive the car before bidding. Call me at 815-742-4198 to set up a time. On Jul-29-12 at 11:36:22 PDT, seller added the following information: 1. A bidder asked for a close up pic of the convertible top zipper. Here it is. The upper corner on the driver side is missing the tab that you pull to open or close the zipper. You can operate the zipper by using a pair of pliers but I don't do it because I just don't want to open the back window. When we want more air, we put the top down. This top was on the car when I got it so I don't know the age of it. 2. In my description above I mentioned that you have to give the top a boost when putting the top down. Well, It is working fine now. There must have been some air in the line after the new lift cylinder was installed and it worked itself out. Please disregard above where it said you had to help the top to put it down. 3. I have done my very best to describe the car and its condition as accurately as I can, however, since this is a 47 year old vehicle, I have to say it is being sold as is. On Jul-30-12 at 05:36:34 PDT, seller added the following information: A bidder asked if I know of any other issues with the car; The only thing I know of is once sometimes there is a slight chatter in the clutch when starting out in first gear. This hasn't been a problem for me but I want to be up front with everyone
