You are bidding on a 1974 Pontiac Firebird. This Firebird is the same color and type used in the 1st season of the TV series The Rockford Files. The car is a two owner car with 65,000 original miles. THe car was originally Denver Poly Gold with white interior. THe car has had one factory professional repaint in the original Denver Poly Gold done approx 1 year ago. The paint displays very well. THe interior was changed to 1974 pontiac saddle to mimic the Rockford car. The front seats are perfect and have been reupolstered, the back seat is in excellent original condition with exception to one small tear at the driveshaft hump between the seats and the plastics and door panels are original and have been restored to the saddle as well, some of the plastics do have minor scapes and mars but display well. The headliner has been replaced with a new one. The carpet is original is in excellent condition, as well as the dash pad , it has no cracks. All interior lights work and well as all guages and dash information lights. The car sports its original AM radio which currently works but needs a new speaker. The car sports its original 350 pontiac motor, the motor idles and runs very strong, does not drip oil or smoke whatsoever. A complete overhall of all motor accessories has been performed to make sure of its reliablilty which includes, new water pump, new radiator, new master cylinder, all new belts and hoses, new alternator, the factory 2 barrel carb has been rebuilt, new brakes front and rear, new gas tank and sending unit, new muffler and exhaust pipe. All redone to 1974 factory OEM equipment and specifications.All exterior chrome is in showroom condition as are the firebird emblems, scripts and birds, the factory rims were sandblasted, primed and repainted in the factory color codes. The tires are new with less than 1000 miles on them, the battery is also new as well. The car has factory a/c and all parts are there, everything checks out as functioning but compressor needs a belt and possible a recharge of freon. The facotry floor pans are very solid, and so is the trunk, the trunk has very minor pitting. All glass is in great shape, the only issue is that the front windshield has minor wiper ware marks. The car drives and cruises down the highway even better, transmission shifts great but does have a small drip. All exterior lights work. The car also comes with a copy of Jim Rockford's Private Inverstigation ID and has the front california liscence plate like the one used in the show. Car has a clear Florida title.
