Vehicle Detail
The Riviera was built in February, 1973. My father purchased the car used from a private party in the San Francisco Bay Area in May, 1991, with 111,786 miles. The car presently has 115,527 miles…that’s an average of 3,000 miles per year. The Riviera was always garaged and never taken out in the rain. It was repainted in the original harvest gold color upon purchase. The car is very presentable with no dents, dings, scrapes, and certainly no rust. The dark brown vinyl roof is original and in perfect condition. The chrome and stainless exterior trim are in very good condition, as well. The top of the hood does show some paint fading, most evident in the garage lighting but can’t be seen when driving the car. The interior has the original tan vinyl seats that are in very good condition. The dash pad and wood grain instrument cluster are superb. Door panels and the headliner are perfect. The stock stereo radio receives AM and FM, and as a bonus, the 8 track player works. The Riviera is equipped with Factory Air Conditioning which blows hot air on the floor when set to heat, and ice cold air from the dash vents when set to cold. The Power Windows and Power Door Locks work well. The driver’s armrest has some splits in the vinyl; an extra piece of matching vinyl is provided for replacement. The Riviera is equipped with the 455 cubic inch, 250 Hp., regular gas engine with the Quadrajet carburetor fuel system, vacuum assist Power Brakes, Power Steering and rear wheel drive. The engine starts right up, has plenty of power to spin the rear wheels, the TH400 transmission shifts smoothly, and the front wheel disc brakes provide quick, sure stops. All original, unmolested stock 39 year old cars don’t come up too often. The 1973 Buick Riviera with the gold paint and dark brown vinyl roof with tan interior in the distinctive boat tail design is a fine example of a desirable car built in a previous time when large, powerful cars were king. The Riviera is located in the San Francisco area, has current California registration, and a clear title in my name. A $500 non-refundable down payment is due through PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. Balance is due within seven days from auction close. The Riviera is 39 years old and is sold "as is." There is no warranty. Delivery, shipping, and transportation cost are the responsibility of the buyer. Registration fees, transfer fees, license fees, emission test and fees, safety fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I am an individual selling my father's car. I am not a dealer. I have been a member of eBay for over 12 years and have over 800 feedbacks. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
