Vehicle Detail

This is the one you've been waiting for! This 911 has the most coveted and hard to find color combinations, black on black. Only 116,500 original miles. Pirelli tires have good tread, premium wheels shine bright, 3.2 litre V6 runs great and accelerates quickly, shifts well and new brake pads ensure prompt braking. This car still turns like it's on rails! Shocks are good. Leather seats are still supple yet firm with plenty of cushion, with a bit of minor wear on the drivers seat only. Moonroof and power windows work everytime. Heater and front defroster work well. Tinted windows provide plenty of privacy. However, the installer informed me when he tinted the windows that the rear window defroster does not work. Upgraded Pioneer stereo (with manual) is Ipod/ external music device ready, CD player and radio work great and speakers intact. For the true enthusiast, included is the original factory Blaupunkt cassette player (with manual). Factory whail tail is in great shape but has a few tiny surface cracks in the paint on the top that can only be seen up close. Drivers power seat works well and adjusts to ensure a custom driving experience. Oil and transmission fluids good and haven't showed signs of excess utilization. Engine has a minute drip very common with cars of this age. (once a year change of a drip pan is all i've needed to do so I don't believe it to be a problem). Comes with original factory owner's manual and one key. Driver's door has key slot for (I believe) a security system but I don't have a key and have never tried to use. Trunk in good shape and includes spare, 1 year old battery, and to my knowlege all fuses and relays are functioning properly. Both power mirrors work fine. Carpets and mats have not faded and are still dark black. Back seats good shape and all seat belts work fine. Dash and trim are dark and show little if no fading. Interior roof overall good shape but has 2 small inch or so tears above passenger seat. All lights, signals and knobs work. No smoking in car under my ownership but a previous owner may have from signs of ashtray and lighter use (which both still work). No odor other than leather conditioner kept regularly on seats. No interior holes or damage to seats or carpet. Always garaged by me and by previous owner. Paint is like a black mirror and most people tell me they can't believe the car is an 85. The front exterior has some tiny chip marks from road debris and i've touched up some but not others. One small ding each can be seen up close on the driver and passenger doors. The car has some minor light scratching of the paint that will come out with a good machine polish. It has always had a coat of wax since i've owned it. No sign of any rust on the panels of car. The undercarriage appears to be in okay shape with minimal signs of rust. I've had the undercarriage inspected by a local import dealer and he didn't recommend replacement of anything due to apparent damage or rust. The engine starts immediately and runs smoothly and the timing appears to be good. All belts look good and wiring appears to have minimal wear but intact. All factory stickers/labels are legible in engine compartment as it is clean, not brand new in appearance though. Only took the car on one long 4 hour each way trip and it drove and performed great with no problems and no overheating or signs of problems. Horn works and steering wheel leather and stiching still good. The challenge for this 911's new owner is twofold. First, her new owner will be to have the air conditioner inspected and possibly repaired if driving in hot temperatures. The blower motors and fans blow strongly but it doesn't get cold. Switches and vents work fine. I don't know status of other A/C components as I'm not a mechanic. Secondly, the odometer has stop recording mileage about 6 months ago. I replaced the original odometer with a matching odometer from an 83 that had around 40k miles showing on it. It worked for a few months then gave out as did the trip odometer. The speedometer works well and all other guages work fine. Thus the mileage appearing is not accurate. 116,5 is an estimation on the high side as the original odometer failed at just over 116 and has not been driven much since. History: I purchased this car from a Porsche enthusiast 4 years ago who took very good care of it and said he always garaged it. It had a bit over 112k in 2008 and i've put less than 5k miles since owning. It has mostly been garaged, driven around town or started and driven to keep fluids circulated properly. When I bought this car I was a single guy who always dreamed of having a piece of history, the great car of my childhood. Now, married with an 8 week old baby, I must make room for a family truckster. Although this car has backseats, they're not quite big enough for a child seat. Oh, how times change...that is the ONLY reason I'm selling this great car. I've tried to care and maintain it this car with the intent of keeping it a very long time. Having a new family has not allowed me the time to have the above two issues resolved. That is why I am offering this car at a very competitive price. Please note that I am only an enthusiast, not a mechanic and I've tried to explain in detail the condition and issues with the car. I can try to answer questions but my expertise is limited. I've tried my utmost to represent this vehicle as accurate as possible but some opinions may vary so inspect yourself and you may say, "This is really an 85?" Please keep in mind that this car is mostly original and has some wear that comes with a car this age, even if well maintained. I am selling this car AS-IS with no warranty. Title is clear. This is NOT a turbo model. I had a carfax done when purchased and it has a clean history with no accidents listed. I am unable to arrange shipping but for an additional fee may be able to assist with delivery within 100 miles. Buyer may arrange shipping or local pickup. $2500 deposit due within 48 hours and remaining balance due within 7 days of purchase by cashiers check only. My timeline is short so requests for additional time to obtain financing cannot be honored. This car will go fast so if you've always wanted one like I did, don't hesitate. Please call David at 573-719-6125 with questions. Leave voicemail if missed, calls will be returned in order received. Thank you for your interest.
