Hello and thanks for looking at my latest finished project.This car was originally a rust free 51Mercury 4 DOOR SEDAN.The body was removed from the frame and a 4 year custom restoration project began.The frame was sandblasted bone white every nut and bolt was removed,a Fatman Mustang frame stub was installed,tubular A arms,disc brakes and power steering rack.The rear end is a rebuilt and narrowed 9 inch Ford,new Posies 4 inch drop springs, shackles and bushings.The frame is painted with a flat black epoxy paint.The body was setup up on my rotisserie and sandblasted complete inside and out.Inner and outer rockers were replaced with quality Green Mountain replacements.The body was placed back on the frame and the customizing began.The roof was removed and the windshield frame chopped 5 inches and custom formed to flow with the body lines.The door tops and rear package tray area was reformed capping off the window slots A custom 4 inch recess firewall and power brake booster were installed .The remaining sheetmetal was blasted inside and out epoxy primed and straightened to perfection before being painted with base coat clearcoat black.I have been building custom Mercs for 25 years and I am very pleased with the lines on this one.The Interior is Cadillac power front seats with a custom made rear seat all covered in Ultra Leather.Drive line is a 454 Chevy with a Turbo 400 trans.If you are looking for something that no one has seen yet this is the car,I have not taken it to a single show or cruise yet you can be the first.I have driven the car about 200 miles and it drives superbly.I have about 1600 hours invested in this project but for me the fun is in the build.I have two other Mercs that are going to be finished within the next couple years.Please call me with any questions so we can talk in person,I won,t usually answer ebay questions My number is 724 207 0818 and my shop is in New Wilmington Pa Thanks again for looking Bill Paden No Roof This is a Roadster
