Up for auction is this sweet original 1924 Ford Model T Touring car. Everything original with the exception of the blinker set-up for safety, which could be taken off for the purist. The car starts right up, doesn't smoke at any time and runs very smooth. It has a 2 speed transmission with the low speed, high speed and reverse all working as they should. The motor was rebuilt some years back and was painted 20 years ago. It still 'shines'. The seat has been reupholstered and is in good shape. The top stretches nice & is tight in place, however does have 3 holes each about 1 in. in diameter. The top functions well, however, would need to be replaced if wanting a show car. The body shows no bondo or patch panels. It does have a few dings & scratches but very minor as this car is not show quality, however, is a very nice, especially for the reserve price of less than $9K. This is a very affordable car. The tires hold air good with new tubes, however, they are weather checked. The wood spokes are in nice shape. All the wood in the car is solid! The radiator has been redone. It has a water pump. The car runs on 'magneto' position. The windshield is in good shape with no cracks or separation. The doors close nicely and stay closed. Overall this is a very nice car with no known issues. You could drive upon arrival of the transport. Drive as is with original patina or an excellent candidate for a restoration. Because it is so complete and solid, I am sure the new owner will be very pleased with this piece of automotive history. I have seen very few on e-bay. Ask questions early and often. The car is currently stored in a garage and can remain there for up to 30 days to allow for pickup or transportation of this car.
