Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for auction is my 2002 Ford Excursion w/4 wheel drive. I bought this SUV last December right here on EBay and it was a grand vehicle until some little old lady rear ended it with her Ford Escape! Her car was totaled and my Ex suffered enough damage that the insurance company totaled it and paid me off. Of course they never pay you what they are worth… So, I retained the salvage title with plans to repair the bumper and drive it as is. Before the accident I had big plans to add a lift kit, bigger wheels and turn it into a bigger monster than it already is. Well my plans have changed and I have decided to concentrate on a different project so my loss is your gain. Opening bid is .99 cents and highest bid at auction close wins! The accident caused the rear bumper to compact and rippled the passenger side rear quarter panel which makes the rear passenger door bind (it still operates), rear cargo door is tweaked with a hole in the fiberglass, the "Open Door" light stays on and the power locks do not function via remote or door buttons. No air bags deployed, no glass broke and no one injured but the cost of work to bring the vehicle to pre-accident condition was estimated to be over $8,000.00. I’ll let the pictures tell the story and I will email the detailed repair estimates if you are a serious bidder. This beast has the legendary 7.3 Liter Power Stroke Diesel “million mile motor” Google it (Yes I know it’s an engine but remember it’s made by the Ford Motor Company, not the Ford Engine Company! The engine was produced by Cummins - check it out here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Excursion ) She starts right up, has two brand new batteries, has cold A.C., great tires and rims, clear glass with no breaks or cracks, and practically no rust anywhere. I installed power stop brakes and rotors on the front and will include the new rotors and pads for the rear. The stereo does not play CDs, the carpet in the rear is very soiled and stained, carpet in passenger and front areas just needs cleaning, there is no third row seat, the jack handle is missing, leatherette covering on the console is loose, steering wheel has an aftermarket cover hiding a hole in the leather wrapped steering wheel, maybe some corrosion in the rubber around the lower window moldings, the usual pings, dings dents scratches scrapes for a 2002 vehicle, and there are some paint scrapes/gouges on the roof from hauling my canoe. Also, I used this vehicle for camping and my two bull dogs have ridden in it on several occasions so there are some short dog hairs here and there, I only mention that because I know some people are allergic to dogs. Never smoked in and no unusual odors are present. If you know Ford Excursions then you know this one is one of the best years made with the best engine possible at the time. So if you are looking for a 7.3 Liter power stroke diesel, look no further. I have seen salvage vehicles that were stripped and not even close to how nice this one is for over $6000.00. Highest bidder at auction close wins. Email for an appointment to check it out. I live in the Hartwood VA area, Zip code is 22406. Only available for viewing in the evening and next weekend. My OPINION is that all you will need to do is get the bumper repaired and get the VA State Inspection along with the $125.00 fee to get it checked out and this vehicle will be ready for the road. I make No guarantee on that statement though since I am not a qualified mechanic in any way. For details on getting a VA Salvage Vehicle deemed road worthy see the VA DMV web site for more information. That being said, if I were buying this vehicle I would assume that is for parts only and that is how I am selling it. What you do with it after you own it is up to you but it will come with a VA Salvage title. Other states vary on salvage vehicles... http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/citizen/vehicles/salvehlawreq/code_sections.asp There are NO REFUNDS, NO GUARANTEES, NO WARRANTY – THIS IS A SALVAGE VEHICLE and I do not represent it as anything other than that. This vehicle is being sold as a used salvage vehicle with absolutely NO WARRANTY whatsoever. Sold AS IS, WHERE IS for cash. NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500.00 due within 24 hours of auction ending. The balance is due in cash when the vehicle is delivered. I have tried my best to list the condition of the vehicle, if there are any errors it is unintentional. The pictures tell the story, if you want more pictures let me know. Have a question - ask before the last day of the auction. Vehicle is for sale locally so the auction may end early if sold. BUY IT NOW CASH PRICE IS $6000.00 – No discounts for sob stories, dealers, friends, friends of friends, or relatives. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence. My user name is my real name and I stand by my word. Serious bidders only – if you do not intend to take delivery of this vehicle or pick it up within one week – DON’T BID. This is a cash sale so if you don’t have the cash in hand don’t waste my time or yours. If you’re counting on financing from the bank they don’t lend money for salvaged vehicles no matter how nice they are!
