Vehicle Detail

I am selling this Beautiful 2007 Porsche Carrera 4 for a friend of mine. Highly desirable Black on Black color combination. 6 Speed Manual Transmission. All 4 tires were replaced within the last few months. Original MSRP approximately $104,000 Purchased by the current owner a little over a year ago for $53,000 Enthusiast owner who has owned several other Porsche models in the past. In the interest of full disclosure, the Carfax report shows that the car was involved in an accident in March of 2007 which resulted in Airbag deployment. The vehicle appears to have been professionally repaired and the vehicle does not have any outstanding issues as a result of any accident damage. The hood appears to be original. There is evidence that the drivers side of the hood has been adjusted because the paint on the 2 bolts on that side is scratched. The passenger side of the hood shows no signs of having ever been adjusted. This leads me to believe that the accident was minor and isolated to the drivers side front area. It is my understanding that for an accident to have been reported to Carfax, the repair cost had to exceed $1000. If this vehicle has had a bumper cover and airbag replaced, that alone would easily exceed $1000. Also, it is my understanding that airbag deployment can occur at a speed as low as 15-17mph. It is my personal opinion that the damage that this vehicle incurred was the result of a fairly low speed incident that originated at the drivers side front of the vehicle and that more than likely, the bumper cover was replaced along with the airbag, and maybe the drivers side fender was repaired or replaced. Again, I just want to fully explain this issue since it was not disclosed at the time of the last sale and that is not how I conduct business. I have been a member of Ebay for a LONG time and have a 100% Feedback rating and intend to keep it that way. This is a great car and if you were not told it had been involved in an accident, it would be very difficult to tell. It is still a world class sports car that can be purchased at an amazing price and enjoyed for many, many years to come. This vehicle is being sold as-is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. The vehicle is listed for sale elsewhere and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally. I encourage any interested parties to make arrangements with me to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding, not after the auction ends. Please only bid if you have the funds in place prior to auctions end. There is a $500 deposit required via Paypal within 24 hours of auctions end. The balance of payment will be due within 7 days from auctions end. The vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of auctions end. On Jul-16-12 at 18:38:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Please see the response to a couple of questions below for additional information. It was brought to my attention that there is currently only one key for the vehicle. If sold, $200 will be reduced from the sale price so the winning bidder can get a second key once they take delivery of the vehicle. Also, in response to a members question, I've provided a brief summary of the vehicles current market value below. This vehicle is being sold at such a low price to provide the seller with a quick sale. Any dealer in the country would ask $45-$46K for this car. Since this vehicle is out of warranty, why pay a dealer premium!? Please continue to ask any other questions you may have. As you can tell from my approach to this auction, myself and the owner are making no attempts whatsoever to mislead anyone about the details of this item. Thank you.On Jul-20-12 at 19:41:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you to everyone who has viewed, inquired and / or bid on this beautiful Porsche. I have responded to all of the questions and posted the responses below. Please view the responses for additional details about this car. I also wanted to clarify that the car has not had a complete respray. Only the area(s) affected by the damage were painted which, again I believe was isolated to the bumper cover and maybe the left fender. Keep in mind, this vehicle was only four months old when the accident occurred. I am quite certain that the person who paid over $100K for this car just 4 months before the accident insisted on a high quality repair and, having worked on cars for over 25 years, I believe the first owner did get a high quality repair. The gaps/shut lines on the car are consistent everywhere and the quality of the paint finish on the repaired areas is as nice as the rest of the car. I should also mention that, consistent with a car of this age and mileage, there are your typical paint chips and minor scratches on the car, however, there are no dents that I can see. The car would benefit from a nice machine buff and polish but, as you can see from the photos, the paint finish is very presentable as-is. Lastly, I just want to reiterate, the title is NOT SALVAGED OR REBUILT. I have clear title in hand. Thank you for your interest. Please continue to ask any questions you may have and I will respond ASAP.
