This is a very nice 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe that has been my 4+ year project but not finished yet and has to go. The body is all steel with no surprises! A new big block firewall, new floor pans have been professionally installed. It has a new Mustang II front suspension installed , BBC engine, and included is a 400 transmission, torque converter, flywheel, headers, air cond. compressor, also included is a 1940 hood and front bumper not shown. The engine is completely rebuilt and street ready 468 cubic inch Chevy Big Block. I will explain the process of this overhaul to give you a better understanding of what you are bidding on. A1 Engines in Toronto, Ontario did the rebuild Master Performance Engine Rebuilder Mr.Emilio personally saw to this engine. He started with one of his select cores and promptly started the building process by hot tanking, line boring and selecting a brand new Eagle steel crank for this block. He next studded the main caps using ARP STUDS to give the bottom end and crankshaft support. Next, he chose a set of resized L88 7/16 Chev dimple rods and a set of Keith Black .060 over blower pistons ( 7 1/2 -1 ratio) Mr.Emilio then decided to stud the block for cylinder head strength.Again , ARP HEAD STUDS were used to mate a completely rebuilt and fresh set of big block high flow oval port heads with new TRW valves,Crane Cam Springs, locks ,titanium retainers and dampers as well as a complete set of Crane Roller Rockers to finish off the top end. Finishing off the build was the selection of a Crane Blower -Hydraulic Camshaft selected to compliment the blower unit.Add to this a high volume, high pressure oil pump , a double roller chain and gears and you have the completed engine.Using Emilio's standard blue print for this engine and using his handy engine build spec chart , what we are now looking at is a powerful , fully rebuilt yet streetable HOT ROD engine putting out over 800HP ++ horsepower. Finally , for fuel management , a matched set of Holley Carbs were given the Power Valve treatment to properly work within the Supercharged Environment.Topped off with a Hilborn Style Air Filter. For glitter,he added a set of high end Edlebrock Elite Series POLISHED ALUMINUM Valve Covers as well as a completely brand new and out of the box POLISHED Weiand 6-71 blower unit. I spared no expense with this engine as it was for my very own car. PLEASE NOTE: This engine is fully rebuilt and has never been fired!!! Warranty is not an issue with A1 Engines.Although this is a performance engine , A1 Engines guarantees against knocking or a low oil pressure on initial fire up. All of their engines are broken in on a bench, testing at a very low 800 RPM run in for 20 minutes.This allows the rings to seat , the cam / lifter pattern to be set as well as the oil pump to fully lubricate the engine prior to initial fire up. All of these parts are in very nice condition There are many misc. parts that go with this sale and I tried to show them in the photos. All of the work so far has been done professionally the frame has been boxed to support the big block a lot of work has been done and you can see whats remains in the pictures.
