1972 Ford Mustang QUICK REFERENCE Miles: 0 Stock # 3H212060 Engine: 8 Cylinder Body Style: Convertible Transmission: Automatic Interior Color: White VIN: 2F03H212060 Exterior Color: Blue VEHICLE DESCRIPTION This outstanding 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 convertible fits right in here at the Vanguard Motor Sales showroom, and more than holds its own. This southern car spent its entire life in a sunny & dry climate until we found it and brought it home. This pristine Mustang was recently treated to a well done restoration. This car was, and still is, absolutely rust free. The paint is a light blue metallic with a silver hood, stripes and spoiler, and is gorgeous. All of the gaps, margins and door and trunk lips are clean and solid. The body on this Mustang has not a single ripple, wave, dent, ding or imperfection. The silver Mach 1 argent stripes were re-added after the Mustang was painted. The trunk is solid and painted. All of the stainless trim on this Mustang is beautiful, straight and blemish free, as is the rear chrome bumper. Lift up that hood and check out what is underneath! You’re looking at a big block 460, punched to 472, with a cam. This drop-top has some serious power! A Holley carb, Offenhauser intake, MSD coil, aluminum valve covers, new aluminum radiator and new motor mounts were included in the restoration. There is also the factory A/C compressor and condenser under the hood, along with a power brake booster and newer master cylinder. The underside of the hood, firewall and inner fenders have a beautiful paint job. Backing up that big block is a C6 transmission. A Ford 9” rear end and a new 2.5” Flowmaster exhaust system live out back. The underside of this car is very clean and in great shape. For some reason both floorpans in the rear have been replaced, even though I can’t see any signs of rust. For whatever reason they were put in, the work was very well done using what looks like factory pieces. The frame is beautiful, and the pinch welds and spot welds on the rockers are clean and solid. The springs are in awesome shape, the steering gear is in good working order, with new ball joints, and the cross members are rust free. There are drum brakes in the rear and the front disc brakes look to be from the factory. To finish off this stunning car are four 17” wheels and new tires. The interior of this Mustang is truly spectacular. The door panels are perfect, with beautiful wood grain inserts. The seats are upholstered in an eye-catching white vinyl with black inserts. The dash is in beautiful condition and the gauges are clear. The console is in extremely nice condition and houses the automatic shifter and an analog clock. Above the clock are the heat/A/C controls, radio and a set of aftermarket gauges. To recap the above: this is a stunning convertible with a big block. It’s a no excuses car, for someone who wants the real deal. The early 1970’s Mustangs are on the rise in value, yet are still affordable.
