Vehicle Detail

1957 was the first production year for this civilian version of the famous Dodge Power Wagon. This awesome beast is mechanically complete but hasn't been run since late 1980s. 4WD 6 cylinder motor turns over, has rebuilder's tag and is not frozen.Locking hubs, 4 speed transmission with dual range transfer case Body has surface rust only, no cancer, was originally used in California as a ranch vehicle. Needs battery, upholstery, new tires, wood strips for bed, etc. and windshield is cracked.Has a clean Michigan title and is located in Stockton, California.Buyer must arrange to remove vehicle at own expense within a week of purchasing.Odometer says 07850miles, however it has rolled over at least once.Sold as-is. All sales are final. Please ask questions before bidding. This vehicle is available for sale outside of Ebay and I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. For questions, call me at (650) 278-1910 On Jul-08-12 at 21:19:48 PDT, seller added the following information: These additional details should answer most of your questions, feel free to ask about anything else: The truck is from Healdsburg, California and has older black CA license plate on the tailgate (last registration sticker is 1983).There are no rust holes anywhere. The first place cancer starts showing up on these late 1950s Dodges is at the bottom of the doors. As you can see, the doors are in great condition. The truck did become very dry from sitting in the California sun for years so the window rubber and wood strips in the pickup bed have dried out). The original gauges, etc. are there. No headliner or interior door panels. The steering wheel and seat are functional replacements. Otherwise, quite original. Both doors close and latch, however, there are no keys.At the rear edge of the driver's side fender there is a spot of peeling bondo filler, so this is an area that will probably require some work. The driver's side running board is a fabricated replacement (shouldn't be hard to find a factory original as they were used widely on various Dodge trucks), so it is likely there was some damage along this side before it was last repainted years ago.The driver's door window crank mechanism isn't working properly. The wind wings are frozen and need attention and have bubbling along the edge of their glass. The windshield has a diagonal crack across its lower left corner. The glass if fine for the doors and rear window. There is a small portion of the right engine compartment inner fender that's been cut away for unknown reason. It had an electric winch at one time for which the front bumper was modified. The rear bumper is made from heavy iron channel. The filler neck is not currently attached to the gas tank. The truck is equipped with Warn freewheeling hubsI acquired the truck in non-running condition. It appears mechanically complete but I cannot guarantee the motor or drive train. I am in the military and have been overseas so unable to work on it and need to free up space at our house in Stockton, CA. The truck was recently issued a clean Michigan title, and there will be no problem retitling it anywhere else. The vehicle is not, however, registered, so a new owner would have the responsibility of meeting those requirements.
