BECAUSE THIS CAR CURRENTLY HAS SOME ISSUES WE ARE LISTING IT AS A "MECHANICS SPECIAL" - This is a good running car with many positive features. With its three rows of leather seats (with Buick-style fabric panels - see photos), this has been a wonderful car for our family (Buick makes great vehicles and we have chosen to replace this vehicle with another "three-row-seat" Buick). Air conditioning is strong and cool, an aftermarket tow hitch has been installed, we replaced the battery in December 2011 and had a new alternator installed in May 2012. This car has high miles, but the actual miles are unknown as the instrument cluster had to be replaced due to speedometer failure (given the high cost of a new cluster, the shop that made the repairs offered the option of a used fully functional cluster - the indicated miles on the replacement cluster was less than that of the one replaced). Our best estimate of actual miles is between 184,000 and 190,000 miles. Currently, the ABS light is on indicating the need for service on the ABS Braking System (our mechanic has checked this out and says the car will need one front wheel ABS sender to resolve this issue - he quoted $200.00 for both the part and installation). Upon start up, there is also a "Service Traction System" message displayed on the information panel (we have not had this diagnosed). There is a matched set of tires and GM style "donut" spare tire (the under body spare storage cable system needs work). Two of the tires are showing considerably more wear than the other two (see photos). The front windshield is cracked and there are various dents and body damage on various parts of the vehicle. If you want a comfortable car at a very good price and are capable of performing needed repairs (or have access to someone who has such), this could be a great vehicle to consider.
