Vehicle Detail

Having to move has forced me to sell the truck I love. I am the third owner, and meant to keep it indefinitely. This is a California original truck, and has always resided in this state. There is not structural rust, therefore, and the body is in near perfect shape. There are likely few examples of a vehicle of this vintage vehicle, in all original and excellent shape. A truck which can be easily restored to showroom condition, or used and enjoyed exactly as is. It is a 1969 Ford F250 Camper Special. The motor is a 360 c.i. with 108,100 original miles. It is coupled with the legendary 3-speed automatic transmission. The motor and transmission have never been rebuilt, have not needed it, and are still working flawlessly with the factory seals. It did have a small leak in the heater core; I have redirected the coolant, bypassing the cab, problem solved. The driver side window cranks up and down, a little bumpy, too. Everything else is still working great, never any sort of significant problem with this truck. I have taken it on many long trips over the last year including an 800 mile round trip, through the desert, to northern Nevada, with the camper on top. The truck performed magnificently and ran cool the whole time. I wouldn’t hesitate to make that and even longer trips again, and am sorry I won’t be able. The paint is all original. So are the wheels, though one of the hubcaps has been lost. All four tires are in great shape with lots of tread left. The bed of this truck is like new, with no dents, holes or rust, it has been carrying a camper its whole life. There are 3 gas tanks, which will provide for an extremely long range. I have only ever used but one of them, the other two will likely need some undetermined amount of servicing to become operational again. There are 2 nearly new, less then one year old, deep cycle batteries under the hood. One is for the truck and the other is for the camper, though there is a switch so both can be charged and utilized at the same time. The interior is also 100% original and near flawless. There are no cracks in the dash which has always been protected from the sun. The seats have original vinyl upholstery with no rips, cracking or tears. The floor is also in excellent shape. There are a few minor blemishes in the headliner, and the driver side armrest has a crack. Included is the original owner’s manual and other documentation. I have provided plenty of pictures, which demonstrate what a well taken care of classic vehicle this is. While this vehicle is not perfect, has been used, and is unrestored, it is nonetheless in very, very good condition. There are a couple of small dings, and a little superficial surface rust showing through the paint in a couple of spots. No smog requirement is an added bonus. BTW, I still have the original camper which was sold new with the truck. The camper is not included in the sale; I would like to keep it and restore it myself. I will gladly; however, entertain any offers from the winning bidder of the truck, for the camper, if interested.
