Vehicle Detail
I've lost my storage on my 1938 International D2 so it's up for grabs. Other projects win out.... It is an old farm truck from the Dakotas and has a lost title; this is not a surprise when dealing with a 74 year old farm implement. I had the local sheriff's department inspect the VIN and had no problems and am most of the way through the Montana lost title process but I've lost my storage so I don't have time to wait. All the paperwork that I have will be included but THERE IS NO TITLE. eBay makes you choose a title status in their form in order to list and lost is not an option so I had to choose something. This truck is a great starting point for either a restoration or a rod. Its got patina for days so if rat rods are your thing, you're all set. There is even some faint paint on the doors that says something about trees. The truck is almost all there and has all of the glass except the passenger window. The original flathead six will turn by hand but I've never tried to fire it. Mechanically it seems to be almost all there but you should assume that little stuff is missing or broken. I have no way of knowing about the internal condition of the engine, transmission, or rear end and I've never checked out the brakes. Assume it all needs re building. The front tires are shredded so it does not roll or turn well. The rear hold air. There are 4 additional wheels and tires off of a Scout that *may* fit that can be included for an additional $50 for the set. They can be seen in the bed of the truck and belong to a friend or I would just include them for free. The topper seen in the pictures does not go with the truck. Someone set it there and I was alone when I took the pictures and couldn't move it. The cab is pretty good with no major dents or rust. The hood is in good shape too. The grill is fair with some straightening needed. The frame seems good, but I have not been over it with a fine tooth comb. The bed is good too, with just a little rust out in the trim panels below it. You can see them in the picture. The fenders have been knocked around and will take the attention of someone with some skill. The tailgate is missing. This is a good starting point but please remember that this truck will need major work before you ever drive it. The topper is not included. Neither is the trailer hitch that has been set in the bed. The tires in the bed cost an additional $50. THERE IS NOT TITLE. This truck is sold as it is, where it is. You are responsible for pick up or arranging shipping. I can help you load it, evenings or weekends, but I have no fork lift, winch, tow truck or anything else. Just arms and legs. It looks like my friend's business I've been storing it at is going under so you will need to get it soon after winning.
