Up for auction is a 1959 Mercers 219 S original California car running and driving very nicely and is a good candidate for restoration This is a no reserve auction I am offering a 1959 Mercedes 219 S luxurious Limousine original California car with black license plate. This car belongs to my client who recently moved to Southern California from Northern California and unfortunately doesn’t have space to keep and finish restoration of it. The car has been tuned up completely* its breaks have been reviewed* it has a new break line and new shoes*new exhaust and muffler* the car runs and drive very nicely and smooth* the 4 speed transmission shift to all gears smoothly *all lights work fine as well as the gauges* the ivory color is the original color for this car and needs a new paint job which was planned by the owner however never occurred *chrome bumpers have little surface rust in some areas and some peaces need to be re-chromed *please check the photos * the carpet is old and needs to be changed. The interior is very presentable for a 53 year old car* the body is super- solid. No-rust throughout the body except for one rusting found on inspection which was only a little rust inside of the trunk. It is very nice for a 53 year old car, no accident and the car is very straight * undercarriage is good, no damage, has little surface rust *please check the photos * no oil leak very dry* has been in California since new, almost rust free * car has been sitting in dry storage for approximately 30 years The floorboards, the rocker panels, the chassis & sub frame, all four rocker panels, jacking ports, and the exterior sheet metal all appear to be nice and solid . All four doors fit nicely. They open & shut with the sound of quality. I encourage potential buyers to come and see the car prior to their purchase or ask me for any questions they may have.
