Mercedes-Benz 420SEL Near-perfect in virtually every respect! You will be very hard-pressed to find a nicer example of this classic and very sought-after W126 chassis Mercedes-Benz! This car has been routinely serviced, garaged and extremely well taken care of. It runs and drives effortlessly and has just had an extensive service, including new brake rotors and pads, a new battery, a complete brake system flush, a complete cooling system flush, a complete transmission flush, a complete fuel system service, new spark plugs, distributor and spark plug wires, and a new air cleaner and filter. All mechanical components were fully checked and nothing was sparred in ensuring that this car is in exceptional mechanical condition. There are no leaks, the transmission shifts smoothly through every gear, and the powerful V8 engine operates flawlessly. I would not hesitate to get into this car today and take a trip across country! This 420SEL is also loaded with features. The original stereo was upgraded with an in-dash Kenwood unit with CD and iPad compatibility. The speakers were replaced with new Pioneer units that sound great. The leather interior is plush without any tears or cracks and has no unpleasant odors. All interior controls function exactly as they should without any hesitation. This entire vehicle has always been routinely washed, waxed and cleaned and is evidenced by excellent condition that it is in, both inside and out. As with any 25 year-old car, there will be some age-related wear, but as can be noted in the many pictures, this is very minimal. The only item that does not operate flawlessly is the air conditioner, which will require recharging to blow cold. Other than this, I can find nothing additional that this car needs.
