For sale is a 1996 Audi A4 Quattro equipped with the bulletproof 2.8L V6 engine with five-speed manual transmission. This 2-owner vehicle has been adult driven its whole life and meticulously maintained. Included with the sale is a complete set of service records, dating back to when the car was brand new. This car has never been in an accident. It was garage-kept in NJ for the first 11 years of its life, and then parked off-street in Philadelphia. It passed PA vehicle inspection in March 2012. The A/C was serviced in May and blows cold. In the last 4 years, the car has received: -Continental Conti-Pro Contact tires -AC compressor -struts -wheel bearings – all four corners -exhaust system (both sides) -clutch at 110K -cabin fan -plugs & wires Oct. 2011 -Class II hitch for bicycle rack -radiator -timing chain -water pump -headlight switch -serpentine belt Every replacement part has been OEM, and as such, the car remains 100% stock—this is most of the reason why the car is in exceptional mechanical condition. The engine starts easily all year round and pulls smoothly, the clutch is in great shape, and the AWD system functions beautifully in all weather. This A4 was ordered with all the options: Bose sound system with 6 CD changer, heated leather seats, cruise control, S-Line appearance package, and even a dealer-installed radar warning system (although it has been disabled as it won’t recognize modern radar frequencies). The donut in the trunk has been replaced with a full, matching spare. Every feature of this car works as it should. The A/C compressor was replaced in 2007 and digital climate control unit in 2011. We had an external master switch for the system added to the dashboard. Unfortunately, the glove compartment doesn’t open and close easily; it should be an easy fix for someone with a bit of time to put it right. The interior of the car is in good, clean overall condition, but does show some signs of age. In its life as a city car, it was sideswiped a few years ago while parked outside a restaurant. As the damage was light and purely aesthetic, we decided against making an insurance claim. We had a family friend try his hand at some of the body work, and while he did a pretty good job with getting the dent out, the paint on the left-front fender isn’t a perfect match. Still, it’s fairly hard to notice and we didn’t think it was worth getting redone (see pictures). Aside from this, there are a few scratches around the right rear wheel well (see pictures). Otherwise, the body is straight, the paint is still glossy, and the vehicle is absolutely rust-free. Questions and offers are welcome. This vehicle is located in center city Philadelphia. It is difficult to notice, but the front left fender has an area that is less reflective than the rest of the car. The color is a good match. One thing I forgot to mention is that the rear bumper was touched up at the same time (see new pictures).
