76 Ford Mustang COBRA II Original #'s Matching Restored, Beautiful!!! You are viewing an extremely nice Ford Mustang COBRA II, Original COBRA not a clone, you can tell by the 3 in the VIN. Beautifully restored in 2000. Painted it's original color Black with painted on Gold stripes, all original body panels and absolutely no rust anywhere. The car is straight and has recently been wet sanded and buffed. The interior looks as if you just drove it off of the showroom floor. The guages have been cleaned and the aluminum trim was all replaced. Everything works correctly. The original 302 was rebuilt with performance in mind, bored 30 over to 308ci, balanced forged rotating assembly with 9 to 1 compression, performance cam, 3 angle valve job, MSD ignition, Edlebrock aluminum intake and 600 cfm electric choke carb., long tube headers with dual Flowmasters exit out back. Estimated 300 HP. Motive Gear 3:73 posi rear with removable carrier. With this engine tranny and gear combo, she runs like a true musclecar and will burn the tires effortlessly. The steering rack was replaced, all new brakes and bushings, this car not only runs extremely strong, but handles like a new car and stops on a dime. Original type wheels are reconditioned with new Cobra center caps & trim rings, new Good Year Eagles. Have many receipts former owner history and original owners manual. All in all this is an extremely nice example of a piece of nearly forgotten Ford history. Look over the pics and please ask all questions and look at the car before auctions end.
