This is a 1942 Desoto Deluxe 2 door sedan. This is a very rare car. There were 1075 of this model made that year. This is the only example registered with the DeSoto club of America. There is no rust on this car with the exception of a hole the size of a half dollar on the floor pan near the seat on the drivers side. The paint was done about 25 years ago, and is still in great shape. A full gallon is also included. The body is extremely straight with no bondo. As you can see, this is a project. All parts to complete are included. There are many many extra parts included, such as: 2 additional complete engines, a transmission, a rear end, an NOS floor access panel, a full set of brakes, an additional rear bumper, an NOS grille, an NOS hood ornament, NOS bumper guards, two complete dashboards including radios two sets of nice hubcaps, some may be NOS, two heaters, two bolts of original style upholstery, extra interior and exterior trim, and loads of extra mechanical and electrical parts. New switches, water pumps , fuel pumps, wheel cylinders, and front end parts. A new exhaust system and new 600-16 tires are included. You will need a big truck to haul all the extra parts. There are four FULL shelving units filled with parts for this car. The underside has been cleaned and painted. The brakes on it are redone. The only items I know are missing are body wiring and a left hood hinge. A pair of 48s are included. The interior would need to be redone. The original seats and side panels are included and can be used for patterns. The car is located near Clinton MI, just southwest of Ann Arbor.
