1973 Mercedes 350 SL-C. Car has been sitting for several years due to fuel pump not working. I bought this car a couple of months ago with the hopes of getting it going with no problems. I poured gas in the top of the engine and it fired right up and ran smooth for a few seconds until the gas ran out. My hopes were dashed though after noticing there was no water in the radiator. I filled the radiator and started the car again. This time, all the water I poured in was blown right out of the tailpipes! So at the very least this car needs a head gasket. Maybe a cracked head or worse,I just don't know and I'm not willing to tear it apart to find out. The car has been repainted as the underside of the hood is green and there are a few other spots of green here and there. The paint looks good from 10 feet. This car does have some rust in the front wheel wells on both sides as well as the lower front fenders and the lower rear quarters. The interior is nice for one this age but does need a little tlc. I'm sure there are some things I'm not covering, so if you have any questions feel free to ask. I am relisting this car and hope to sell this time. Starting bid is less than half of what I gave for it.Please do not contact me wanting to know if you can buy it later if it doesn't sell or if you can buy parts off of it. I do not have time to do either of those, nor will I answer your e-mail. You can take as long as you need to come get the car, as long as it's paid in full within 7 days of close of auction. Thanks.
