This is a 1976 Pontiac Trans am Gold Special Edition 50th anniversary car with a 400 and auto trans. It even has a Hurst t-top roof! It was found inside of a barn in CT. It has a CT title. We put the car in are shop and got it running after the car sat for 18+years. It runs good and will yard drive if carb is gravity fed by a fuel bottle or just replace the fuel pump. This does not mean the motor should not be rebuilt but the motor does not knock and sounds strong. It was not stuck originally,we made sure by pulling the spark plugs out and lubing the cylinders and turning the crank by hand wit ha breaker bar. It is a originally car with its original paint and it still sports the originally 50th year decals on the fenders. It still has the gold steering wheel and we ran the numbers and they only made around 500 of these, and who know how many out of the 500 had the Hurst roof like this one! The car even comes with the original 15" honey cone wheels that the owner had purchased because they were missing. The car has power windows and AC. This car needs TOTAL RESTORATION! I will describe it to the b est of my ability. The driver side frame rail on one section has a hole(see pics) The passenger side seems good. The car will need at least passenger side quarter,door skins,deck lid. The fenders are salvageable. The interior is all there except the lower door panels and radio. The shock towers and rockers seem to be solid. The trunk pan and floors seem to be good as well. Around the rear window where the quarter meets needs to be replaced, the sub frame mounts and sub frame its self seems to be good. What saved this car was being stored in a barn for so long!
