Vehicle Detail
I recently bought this car on ebay. I drove the car from the Miami, FL area back to central Illinois with no problems. After about a week of driving in Illinois the car started to overheat. After looking in the engine, I saw written in blue marker on the container that holds the windshield washer fluid, "Honda Needs Pump Motor"(picture attached). When I asked the previous seller about it he said he had no idea...go figure. He said it was a perfectly running car, but it looks like it needs a water new pump, which I bought(and will include in the sale), but I don't have it in me to do the job. The engine does start up just fine and can drive for about 10 minutes before you have to let her cool down w/o it getting too hot. This is a rare find, which is why I bought it, but I just don't have the time and motivation to keep her up. Paint is in great shape. I was asked questions about the car at just about every gas station I stopped at on the way back to Illinois. Title clean and clear. Feel free to call with any questions. 312.983.0143 On Jun-06-12 at 07:48:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been receiving a lot of inquiries about guanrentee that the water pump is the sole issue. I have not taken the wagon to be looked at by a mechanic, nor am I a professional mechanic. I believe it just needs a waterpump, but I cannot be certain. This vehicle is sold AS IS. I will be happy to provide you with all the information I possibly can. MikeOn Jun-07-12 at 07:46:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I believe the issue is the water pump b/c the coolant is leaking from the water pump and the radiator overflow overflows after about ten minutes of driving the car. It will idle for about 30 minutes before she starts to get hot. I live in downtown Chicago and have no garage and only street parking which is why can't work on this car regularly. This car is located at my parents house in Normal, IL. I have spent no time with this wagon other than driving it from Miami back to Normal.
