Vehicle Detail
Hi and thank you for looking. So here it goes… Up for auction is a 1968 Buick Skylark that was sold new in Lewiston, Idaho and spent it’s entire life in Grangeville Idaho only 65 miles away! The car is all original with 96,750 miles showing on the odometer. The car comes with the 1968 Inspection form, the protect-o-plate, owners manual, and glove box material from it’s original sale in 1968 (pictured). This is a very restorable car or can be driven as is. It starts right up, runs, steers, stops, etc… excellent. There is some rust in the normal areas (front fenders down low, rear quarters and rear wheel openings) all of which are pictured and the back window leaks but the package tray is solid. The floors, trunk, dash, firewall, etc. are all 100% solid as well. These cars are getting hard to find especially a documented 1-owner with all of the paperwork and still within 65 miles of the selling / servicing dealer! I have taken several pictures of the car so if you need to see something in particular that is not shown, please feel free to ask. The motor fires right up without any noises, issues, etc. It does however have a little lifter rattle if it is not started for 3 weeks to1 month. This lasts about 10-15 seconds and then goes away. If the car is driven on a regular basis it is quiet as a church mouse. The motor has great power, the transmission shifts smooth without any slipping or issues but does leak slightly after sitting for awhile (a couple of weeks). The car retains all of it’s factory under hood components including air conditioning that works! The brakes are good, the tires are new, and the suspension feels tight. The car does not drive “loose” or feel "sloppy". The car has a replacement vinyl top that goes with it at time of sale (not installed but new in the box). All of the lights, turn signals, back up lights, etc. all work as well as all heater controls, a/c, radio, fan motor, dome light, dimmer switch, and any other factory components that it has. Serious bidders please feel free to contact me if you need any information or have questions that are not already addressed in the listing. If you have zero (0) or negative (-) feedback your bid may not be accepted unless I am contacted first. This is without exception. Please do you research and you will find me a straight forward, honest seller, with great feedback, and a reputation of being easy to do business with. I would be happy to store the car for up to 45 days so that pick-up or shipping arrangements can be made. I can be contacted Mon-Fri 9:00am -6:00pm pst and Sat 9:00am to 3:00pm pst by phone; 1-208-746-7040 or by e-mail; cookscarco@gmail.com Thank you again for taking the time to look and good luck with the auction. Sincerely, Peter W Cook
