Vehicle Detail

For sale is my long time dependable daily driver. My wife and I have owned this car for almost 9 years now. The car has served us very well, and has been lots of fun. It is now to the point where it needs work that we don't have time for, and with our third child on the way it is no longer practical for us. It is a solid car with quite a few "personality traits" that have developed over the years. First I'll list all the cons and then all the pros, and then at the bottom I'll list the extra work that has been done to the car/engine over the years. CONS -Convertible top ripped and old (will need replaced, see picture) -Engine needs lower end rebuild - burns a lot of oil, and new valve seals didn't fix the problem, so it must need new rings -Overdrive hangs up between 2 and 3rd gear - I've read some about this and I believe it is a linkage or sensor issue. It shifts fine when in drive and never slips or hesitates -Wheels have been powder coated over left-over chrome that was flaking - all four wheels are as ugly as can be, but may be able to be sandblasted and painted -Passenger side door will not open from outside -Both front seat belts will not retract (I have been using them as lap belts for almost a year -Radio speakers are stock and are no good (rear speakers are distorted) -Center arm rest vinyl is cracked and missing a section (see interior picture) -Various dings and dents from parking lots. The worst is on the nose where it seems some dope in a pickup backed up into my hood (see picture) -Rear windows need help going up and down -There is a loose heat guard somewhere on the exhaust that rings/rattles when engine is idling -One front ball joint will need replaced within a year or two -Some interior trim pieces (around seatbelts, vents, etc...) dried and crack from southern sun -Aftermarket blue/green light up dash lights are intermittent. (Dials are all lighted so gauges are still able to be read in the dark) -Windshield washer reservoir is cracked, and will not hold washer fluid. PROS -Very solid body/ frame (was a southern car for around 13 years of its 23 year existence) -Very little rust (all spots are shown in pictures) -Dependable -Fun unique convertible car -Pennsylvania inspection good until November 2011 (the only thing that might need replaced to have the inspection renewed is the ball joint mentioned above) -Included set of mounted winter studded treads -Great foundation for either a daily driver or for a drag car or show car -For a $1,000 no reserve auction you are getting an inspected car that starts and is roadworthy (try to find that for $1,000 no reserve somewhere else) Stats and modifications -153,157 Miles on Body ~125,000 on Engine and Transmission -Engine and Transmission (auto) out of 1993 Mustang GT -5.0 H.O. V8 302 bored .30 over (306 cu. in.) -Ford Performance Pistons -Steel Crank -1.6 Roller Rockers -Stock Heads Ported and Polished -High Volume Oil Pump/Bearings and Rings -Eibach & Kenny Brown Lowered Suspension -8.8 Traction Lock Rear End (Stock 3.08 Gears) -AM/FM CD-Player Work done summer of '07 -Custom Paint Job -New Headlights and Turn Signals -New Tires -New Brakes (rotors, drums, pads, calipers (drums and calipers powder coated) -Interior Steam Cleaned -Over 4,000 worth of work done summer of '07
