1982 300TD Mercedes station wagon. She needs some tuning, but you can drive her home as is. I bought this car two years ago so that my wife and I would have a matching pair. (She drives a mint '84 300td, same color.) It was fun for a couple months, since then I have driven this car to my office, 40 miles round trip, maybe once a week. I've never had the time to collect the waste oil, and I'm ready for a different toy. Starts strong, blows some white smoke after starting, idles rough for a little while, sounds better cruising at 55. A Waste Vegetable Oil kit has been installed on this car, I have only run it on diesel for the past two years. The engine is a non-turbo. The odometer does not turn, so I cannot vouch for the mileage reading. The interior is pretty good, a few pieces of the wood trim are missing. (The previous owner who installed the WVO kit simply removed the upper piece where he installed the electric pump switch, I haven't replaced it.) No 3rd seat. All four of the electric windows work, however the window switched are sticking, and don;t always respond. (I know the issue is with the switches, I popped the switches from my wife's car to check and all the windows worked.) Manual sunroof works. AC does not work. After she was mine, I did or had the following done: Replaced the dashboard and front seats with used components.New rear axles.New front right wheel bearing. (There's tire wear on that side from before the replacement.)New starter.New water pump.New hydraulic hoses for the rear suspension.New glow plugs.New brake pads.New battery, replaced on Napa warranty last week. The WVO system was installed by a previous owner. I had a mechanic replace the original fuel line configuration when I decided to run on pure diesel. All the pieces of the WVO kit, with the lines run and ready to be reconnected in the engine compartment, include:A marine tank in the back, I would guess 30 gallons. (Has maybe 5 in it.)Hosing run from the tank to the engine.Recirculation valve, etc.Electric pump, has been disconnected from the battery, but all wiring and hosing is still in place. (Switch on the dash has been removed.)Electric pump and filter WVO collection kit.This does NOT have a heating component for the WVO, something that would be necessary farther North. The body on this car is solid, no rust that I am aware of. Looks good from 15 ft away, up close there are blemishes, but nothing significant. While I am 90% sure you could drive anywhere in her, she is not perfect. Thus the low starting bid price and low reserve. I love these cars, they are bulletproof. We have taken my wife's on several 1,000+ mile family trips to New England from Mississippi without a problem. Sold as is, where is. I'm happy to coordinate shipping at buyer's expense.
