Classic Car 1981 Datsun 280ZX The car is in very nice condition cosmetically and in super condition mechanically. See photos for accurate description ****According to the Vehicle History Report, I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. The previous 2 each owned it for 14/15 years I had this car fully inspected and checked for performance and safety last year when I bought it for my grand daughter. Anything even remotely questionable was fixed or replaced by an automotive shop. Her mother said no to it because it's too smal and has too much power for a new driver, So I kept it and I drive it... but only once in awhile. I've put a few hundred miles on it the past few weeks, so the listed miles may change if I continue to drive it. It's fun and get's thumbs up from everyone, but it's not my style. It runs excellent, tires are very good, and I would drive it anytime, anywhere. It looks like it had some minor rust in the usual places...but not so much that it would have been considered a problem. It looks like the few areas that had some were treated. (See photos) The car needs: (All can be done or replaced very easily without pro help) DIY stuff. Cigarette lighters. It has none. (see photo) Seat belts work fine but you may want to replace the belt caps for appearance. (see photo) The Heater works great. The Air conditioner does too but probably needs recharge. The dash has only 1 small hairline crack but it's very minor. (see photo) I would replace the radio and the trim piece behind it. Those are not original. The key has worn down some and although it works fine on both doors, sometimes you have to wiggle it to turn the ignition switch. I stopped in one morning to have another one cut but was on my way to work and didn't have time to wait. It has a non working (as far as I know) power antenna that's been snapped off part way up. Appearance wise It looks fine and receives fine just as it is. You may or may not want to fix or replace it. I didn't see it as a negative so I left it like it is. See photo I noticed some white specks on the paint in the photo of the winshield. These are Not chips, it's dust. The car has a beautiful paint job and it really shines as the photos show. At the bottom area of the windshield, there's the strip at the base of the chrome that looks like it had rust that I think should have been sanded better prior to painting. But you have to look from up close, it doesn't stand out from a few feet away. Aside from that, whoever painted this car did an amazing job, it's pretty! No leaks or wet spots whatsoever in the engine compartment nor underside. All in all, this is a nice running and a nice looking older Datsun.
