Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1973 Pontiac Trans Am without a working engine. This sale includes the complete car body, frame, interior and is equiped with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. The engine for this vehicle was an original 1973 matching numbers engine. Two weeks ago, a bearing rod broke in it while I was driving it and destroyed the engine. I had the engine pulled by my mechanic and he indicated that the engine was not repairable. I have the original block with all the associated parts. Whoever wins this auction may choose to take the block and all the usable parts with them if they wish. The pictures show the car when the engine was in the vehicle. The transmission is the original Muncie transmission and shifted flawlessly. The car has a new exhaust system and sounded perfect. The body is in great shape. The car has been customized with 1974 taillights and rear bumper. I am not the original owner and do not know the history about the taillight and bumper modification. The paint was beautifully applied and is smooth and shiny. It is very sharp looking as the pictures indicate. The car has a basically rust free frame and underbody. There are some minor chips in the paint around the door edges and one chip on the trunk spoiler. There are a couple small bubbles on the paint. One tiny one on the hood near the upper right wing of the ensignia, some near the left rear bottom quarter panel where the bumper attaches, and one on the underside of the passenger door. There is minor front nose paint cracking..see picture. None of this is viewable from 10 feet away and I was unable to capture on a camera. The windshield has a small chip in it from a stone. Interior is extremely clean. Seats and door panels are like new and show no wear. Excellent carpeting throughout. All gauges worked fine. Heater worked great. Car did not come with air conditioning. Tires are in great condition and are equipped with rally wheels. This is a terrific Trans Am...for show or for cruising. Put in a 455 engine and you are all set. Please be aware that this car is not perfect. Do not bid on this car if you are expecting perfection. This Car is sold as is with no warranty. The car has a clear Wisconsin title and the VIN number matches on the dashboard and on the engine cowl plate. I have included the pictures to show this.
