Vehicle Detail
This vehicle has been restored to its original beauty. This includes new paint, air conditioning, wiring, re-upolstered seats, new convertible top, new tires, new battery, and includes receipts for all work and restorations. Second owner of the vehicle and has been garage kept since purchase in 1994. At the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1981, Porsche also unveiled the study of a 911 Turbo Cabriolet with four-wheel drive. Less than a year later – at the Geneva Motor Show in 1982 – Porsche presented its first fully-fledged production convertible for 18 years: the 911 SC Cabriolet. The new model was not only a breath of fresh air to convertible enthusiasts; its folding roof also featured a range of innovative technologies. Thanks to a novel and well conceived three-bow design with 50% of the closed fabric roof reinforced by sturdy material, the 911 SC Cabriolet boasted both an exceptionally rigid and elegant hood construction. Due to its aerodynamic, coupé-like roofline, the 911 SC Cabriolet was capable of reaching the same top speed as the Coupé variant. As a result, with 235 km/h (146 mph) on tap, the open-top 911 SC was the fastest standard production convertible worldwide at the time.
