1975 Triumph Spitfire LOW-MILEAGE VINTAGE, UNMODIFIED This item is a French Blue vintage unmodified (original) 1500 cc (91 cubic inch) 1975 Triumph Spitfire. The car was purchased new on January 3, 1975 from Piehler Pontiac Corp., Rochester, NY, for $4369.00 with the optional steel hard top, electric overdrive and radio. I have the original bill of sale. I also have four different copies of the 1975 Triumph Spitfire advertising literature. The car was treated with Bodyguard rust proofing and the vehicle owner’s lifetime warranty does not say that it is not transferrable. The odometer shows the current mileage at 38,991 miles. It is my understanding and belief that this is really the correct mileage. I have seen service documentation from the previous owner and the recorded mileage readings are consistent with the current reading over time. The Spitfire has been registered and insured since I purchased it in 1987. It has consistently passed the New York State motor vehicle inspection requirements every year that I have owned the car. If desired, I can also provide some additional documentation, such as inspection and service invoices that show the mileage change and dates over time. The Spitfire is currently registered using Historic NYS license plates that may be included in the sale if the winning bidder desires them. I understand that the car has always been parked inside and, to the best of my knowledge, has never been driven in the winter. Therefore it has not been exposed to snow and road salt. The engine is the original and in excellent condition. The car has a four speed manual transmission with an electric overdrive. There is a functioning AM/FM radio mounted in the car. Included with the sale are: One steel hard top, shown on original bill of sale, with glass windows, the rear wing windows that open. One tonneau cover with a center zipper, covers entire cockpit. One convertible top with plastic rear window. One cover for the convertible top when it is down, covers the folded top only. 3 Books: – 380 page 1974 published “Triumph Spitfire Owners Handbook”; 67 page 1974 published “Triumph Spitfire 1500 Handbook”; 310 page 1983 published “Triumph Spitfire Owners Workshop Manual.” Please provide direct email address to seller if you desire more or better quality pictures. A deposit of $1000 is to be paid to seller within 48 hours of auction closing. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction closing unless a longer time period is agreed to by seller. Proof of valid transfer of funds is required prior to or at the time of transfer of ownership. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup, shipping/delivery costs, and coordination of vehicle pickup with seller.
