For sale is my rare 1977 mercedes 6.9 #2152, the cars overall condition for a 35 year old unrestored car is in good to very good condition this car has been well cared for by all 5 of its owners, it recently has had the following repairs done within the last 6 months new spark plugs, new bosch cap and rotor, new beck arnley wire set, new injector o rings and an oil change has just been done as well with rotella 15/40 and a new mahle oil filter. the following repairs have been done within the last 5 years new water pump, new fuel accumulator and filter, all new suspension spheres ,a good used ac servo with a freon refill, new pirelli tires, air filter bead blasted and repainted, new battery, new exhaust hangers, new ball joints and new tie rods, im sure i forgot something. The cars exterior was repainted by southend autobody in the mid 90s were the trunk lid, hood and roof were paint stripped and the whole car was repainted in a base coat clear coat urethane ppg paint, the car also got new head light surrounds and front turn signals as well as the front and rear bumpers were sent out for replating. Fast forward 17 years and the car still looks very well with exception of 1 very small ding in the right rear door and a few chips here and there. The interior is all original and in ok to good condition the dash has a very small crack just starting to form near the gauges, and the front seats are fading as well as the package tray, the door panels are still very nice, the carpets are pretty good but there is a piece missing on the drivers front floor up in the kick panel area, the burl wood is still very nice with only 1 crack starting near the shifter. The electronics all work perfect, original becker radio works well but speakers should be changed they work but dont sound that well in the rear, the ac will freeze you out of the car, all windows and factory moonroof work well. The engine runs verywell and has alot of power but does idle at 1100 rpm in park, the transmission works perfect. The suspension had alot of work done to it in the past but will require a fluid change, the cars ride is poor for the first 20 minutes of travel but then firms up and rides well, i believe this to be either trapped air in the fluid or possible dirty fluid and filter, i have purchased the filter and 2 liters of fluid that will go with the car as well as these new parts that i have not yet installed new nos trunk weatherstripping, new nos door weatherstripping (all 4 doors) a used alluminum ac servo, nos seat handle, and some misc small trim and filters. Last but least i forgot to mention the car does still have its unopened first aid kit and suspension blocks. I have tried to say as much as i could remember to say about this classic benz but feel free to ask any questions or for any other pictures, i feel this 6.9 though its mileage is 120,000 is still a good example of one of these cars as it is but would be amazing if someone took it to the next level i deeply enjoyed driving and owning this car but have 8 other classic cars as well and i need to thin the collection. thank you for your interest
