Vehicle Detail
Here is my 1987 Honda trx 250R. It is mostly stock, never been raced but is current need of a top end kit, cylinder is bored. I planned on restoring it but plans change. It has a FMF pipe. I have the keys, title, owners manual for this. Very good machine for a restoration. This also comes with a complete set of stock plastic, I wont sell the plastic without the quad so dont waste your time asking. For what I want for the quad you could part it out and keep the plastic. I am also selling a completely stock 86 trx 250r, please see my other auctions. Please ask any questions before bidding, I will ship this but at the buyers complete expense. Can email more pictures. On May-10-12 at 13:14:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add some better pictures of the stock plastic that goes with this TRX. It is perhaps some of the nicest OEM plastic I have seen. The engine case has no damage to the chain guard mounting area. I could part this out and make far more than I am asking, but I dont have the time to do all that. The plastic is worth $750/1000 alone, if you can even find a complete set with no cracks or spider webbing which this set has none of. With alittle elbow grease this plastic will shine like new. The straight frame, with no cracks, bends stripped mounting holes with a title is worth $400/550, that alone is my buy it now. Put a top end on the motor and you easily have another $750/1000. Thats pretty much the going rate for 250r motors with no case damage. Part out the rest of it, swingarm, axle, complete brakes front and rear, a arms, steering stem, rear grab bar, tool box, electrical, wheels/tires, radiator, air box assembly,FMF pipe, carb ect those parts easily add up to another $1000, if not more. Thats between $3500-4000 for a $1500 investment. It looks rough in the pictures but it has everything there, it wouldnt take much to make this a really nice rider. even the parking brake set up is still on it. If you use the buy it now I will include a set of steel front wheels and a brand new set of OHSTU front tires.
